Winterton-on-Sea Cottages
Winterton-on-Sea is truly an unspoilt gem perched on the Norfolk Coast.
With a strong sense of community, this former fishing village boasts long sandy beaches and pretty thatched cottages.
The beach is family and dog friendly – it’s never crowded even in the height of summer. If you’re staying in Winterton then you’ll be within walking distance of everything, and if not there’s a car park at Beach Road along with toilets and Seal View café.
Winterton-on-Sea is a great all year round destination, with over 200 acres of dunes to explore which are part of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The area is a haven for wildlife with tern and seal colonies in residence, along with the rare Natterjack toad.
In the village you’ll find the Fisherman’s Return pub – a 300 year old brick and flint freehouse, Poppy’s tea room at The Post Office, a general store and fish & chip shop.
