Description

The Hollies has the same owner as Tremeer, and has been recently renovated to the same high standard. Situated in a quiet residential area, The Hollies offers comfortable accommodation for two couples or a family all year round.

You enter the property via a side door, with a small entrance hall which has a shower room leading off it. The large open plan living area has a corner sofa, TV, kitchen area and sunny dining area. The kitchen is well equipped with an island and four bar stools, an electric hob and oven, 3/4 size dishwasher, washing machine and an under counter fridge with an ice compartment.

At the rear of the property are two good size bedrooms, each with a kingsize bed and an ensuite shower room. There are patio doors leading from both of the bedrooms out to the back garden which is paved and fully enclosed.

At the front there is a lovely enclosed decking area, and ample parking for two cars on the drive. The Hollies is dog friendly and welcomes up to four dogs free of charge.

Features

Location

The Hollies is located on the outskirts of Winterton-on-Sea, a pretty unspoilt village perched on the Norfolk Coast. It only takes 10 min to walk to long sandy beaches which are dog friendly all year round.

The local Fisherman’s Return pub (dog friendly) serves good food, and is a 5 minute walk from The Hollies. Also in the village within walking distance you’ll find the village shop, Poppy’s post office and tea rooms (we can recommend the breakfasts), a fish & chip shop and Seal View café at the beach.

There’s an excellent choice of walks right from the doorstep, and Winterton Dunes is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). From the end of November to the beginning of January it’s pupping season for the local grey seal colony, with literally thousands of them on Horsey beach just 10 mins drive from Winterton. It’s an amazing sight to see.

For cyclists there’s a great choice of routes and trails to enjoy. A little further afield the Norfolk Broads offers scenic boat trips or hire your own boat for the day. There’s also fishing, kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding available.

For families, the seaside town of Gt Yarmouth is only a 15 minute drive away, with a sandy beach, end of pier entertainment, Sea Life centre, amusement arcades, pleasure beach, bowling, cinemas, Venetian Waterways, crazy golf and much more. We also recommend the award winning BeWILDerwood an outdoor tree house adventure park with zip wires, jungle bridges, marsh walks and boat rides - just a 20 minute drive away near Horning. Wroxham Barns is nearby with independent shops, craft studios, a kids' farm, funfair and restaurant.

The fine city of Norwich is a 40 minute drive away, and offers shopping, museums, restaurants and a choice of theatres.

There’s a great choice of places to eat out locally including beachside cafes, local pubs and fine dining restaurants and we provide all guests with a comprehensive list in our digital welcome information.

We had a great holiday, the property was spotless and very comfortable, and nice to have a welcome pack with treats for the dogs as well. It was more spacious than it looked in the photos. We loved having 2 en-suites as we are single friends and like our own space indoors. it felt like a home not a holiday let. Good position - close to the beach and eating places, would love to come back next year.

Wow what a beautiful property. Everything you need and more is thought of and supplied from dog bowls to foil, which we forgot so much appreciated. The bedding and towels smelt gorgeous and the property was exceptionally clean. Just a short stroll to the beach we will definitely be visiting The Hollies again - Thank you

Our second stay at the Hollies was amazing (again!). Well equipped with a secure back garden in a lovely street. We love Winterton-On-Sea and the Hollies makes a great home base with everything we need within walking distance. Dogs loved it too!

Lovely, well equipped and spotless bungalow. The owners have thought of everything, and the welcome pack was very kind also. We found the bungalow a super base for our holiday, in a lovely village. The back garden is private and sunny in the evening, and the front decking has sun all day. We had a tasty full English breakfast at Poppy's Tearoom, and enjoyed the natural local beach as well as trips to Great Yarmouth, Gorleston-on-Sea and Wroxham and Horning on the broads. We took the paddlesteamer cruise at Horning which was a gentle and picturesque way of exploring this area. Thank you we had a lovely time!

A well laid out comfortable bungalow, especially for dog owners. Easy access to a secure rear garden is a real plus and the separate terrace is great to sit out in warm weather. Three bathrooms is helpful, especially if sharing with friends. Winterton is very dog friendly in fact if you go without a dog I bet somebody would lend you one to walk with on the beach. The cottage is comfortable and a short distance from local shop, fish and chip shop, cafe and pub. The beach is just a few minutes walk away and has its own food outlets. We hardly touched the car for the duration of our week and came home rested and full of praise for the village, the dunes and beach and the friendliness of the locals. To use a well known phrase 'Ah'll be back'.
