Description

The spacious living room has enough comfortable seating for four people, a wood burning stove and a large smart TV. An opening to the kitchen gives the feeling of space, and means this is a sociable place to spend your holiday with friends or family. The well equipped kitchen has an electric oven, hob, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. There's a table in the kitchen which seats four people. A door from the kitchen leads to the garage where you'll find a washing machine.

Bedroom one overlooks the back garden and has a comfortable king size bed. The en suite has a walk in shower, washbasin and WC. Bedroom two has twin single (3') beds. There is also a garden room with patio doors leading to the large back garden - the perfect place to curl up on the sofa and relax with a book or watch TV. In the bathroom there's a bath, separate shower, washbasin and WC.

Outside, the large enclosed rear garden has patio furniture for al fresco dining. Cobbles End has off road parking for two cars. Up to two dogs are welcome at Cobbles End.

Location

Cobbles End is in the heart of Winterton-on-Sea, a pretty unspoilt village perched on the Norfolk Coast. It only takes 5-10 min to walk to long sandy beaches which are dog friendly all year round.

The local Fisherman’s Return pub (dog friendly) serves good food, and is a 5 minute walk from Cobbles End. Also in the village within walking distance you’ll find the village shop, Poppy’s post office and tea rooms (we can recommend the breakfasts), a fish & chip shop and Seal View café at the beach.

There’s an excellent choice of walks right from the doorstep, and Winterton Dunes is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). From the end of November to the beginning of January it’s pupping season for the local grey seal colony, with literally thousands of them on Horsey beach just 10 mins drive from Winterton. It’s an amazing sight to see.

For cyclists there’s a great choice of routes and trails to enjoy. A little further afield the Norfolk Broads offers scenic boat trips or hire your own boat for the day. There’s also fishing, kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding available.

For families, the seaside town of Gt Yarmouth is only a 15 minute drive away, with a sandy beach, end of pier entertainment, Sea Life centre, amusement arcades, pleasure beach, bowling, cinemas, Venetian Waterways, crazy golf and much more. We also recommend the award winning BeWILDerwood an outdoor tree house adventure park with zip wires, jungle bridges, marsh walks and boat rides - just a 20 minute drive away near Horning. Wroxham Barns is nearby with independent shops, craft studios, a kids' farm, funfair and restaurant.

The fine city of Norwich is a 40 minute drive away, and offers shopping, museums, restaurants and a choice of theatres.

There’s a great choice of places to eat out locally including beachside cafes, local pubs and fine dining restaurants and we provide all guests with a comprehensive list in our digital welcome information.

We had a lovely week in the immaculate Cobbles End Cottage. It was everything we could have We We had a lovely week in the immaculate Cobbles End cottage. It was everything we wished for, especially the dining kitchen. It was also lovely to sit out in the well kept garden. The village is quiet with a short, pleasant walk to the beach where there is a car park. The Fishermans Return PH serves lovely meals and there is a post office with Poppys' tearooms and a convenience store. We hope to return.

We have just returned from a week at Cobbles End which was our fourth visit. A wonderful bungalow well equipped and maintained with a secure garden for our Labrador. Five minutes and you arrive at the beach where you can walk for miles while watching the seals swimming. Five minutes opposite direction is the welcoming Fisherman’s Return pub which does excellent food and is very friendly. This is perfect location and property for a relaxing break and although this can’t be planned we have always been fortunate with the weather.

I have just had another wonderful week in this perfect bungalow. I absolutely love it. Cobbles End is brilliantly equipped, we are always left a thoughtful welcome basket ,and the garden is just perfect. I spend my days in the garden room on the sofa watching TV with the dog running in and out between me and the garden. What is also great about Cobbles End is it's in a perfect position in the village. So near Poppy's, and the shop and Fisherman's Pub, and also easy walking distance from the beach. I will be back very soon. Thank you so much to the owners for their thoughtfulness in providing such a perfect holiday residence. Anne and Zloty, the golden retriever.

We had a wonderful week staying in Cobbles End, what a lovely, clean and well equipped property, the garden was a delight, and so secure for our Labrador. Such a lovely quiet village, just what we needed as a break from our busy lives.
