Description

Mariner's Way is tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac, within easy walking distance of the beach, local pub, and everything else in Winterton-on-Sea village. It's a modern, detached bungalow which offers a relaxing stay for up to four people in two bedrooms.

The living room has ample seating for four, a wood burning stove and smart TV with Sky. There's a separate dining area in front of the kitchen which is well equipped with an electric cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

Each bedroom has a comfortable double bed, and there's a modern bathroom with a large shower and a separate WC. A large conservatory opens up into the back garden and is the perfect space to relax with a book or enjoy morning coffee. The garden is fully enclosed, and has a patio as well as a stunning decking area at the bottom of the garden with garden furniture.

Two small-medium dogs are welcome at Mariner's Way at no additional charge and there's an outdoor tap to wash any dirty paws. There's a utility room at the back of the garage with outdoor games and racquets as well as storage space for bikes. Two cars can park on the drive. Please note for security reasons, CCTV operates on the property.

Location

Winterton-on-Sea is a pretty unspoilt village perched on the Norfolk Coast, with long sandy beaches which are dog friendly all year round.

The local Fisherman’s Return pub (dog friendly) serves good food, the village also has a local shop, Poppy’s post office and tea rooms (we can recommend the breakfasts), a fish & chip shop and Seal View cafe at the beach.

There’s an excellent choice of walks right from the doorstep, and Winterton Dunes is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). From the end of November to the beginning of January it’s pupping season for the local grey seal colony, with literally thousands of them on Horsey beach just 10 mins drive from Winterton. It’s an amazing sight to see.

For cyclists there’s a great choice of routes and trails to enjoy. A little further afield the Norfolk Broads offers scenic boat trips or hire your own boat for the day. There’s also fishing, kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding available.

For families, the seaside town of Gt Yarmouth is only a 15 minute drive away, with a sandy beach, end of pier entertainment, Sea Life centre, amusement arcades, pleasure beach, bowling, cinemas, Venetian Waterways, crazy golf and much more. We also recommend the award winning BeWILDerwood an outdoor tree house adventure park with zip wires, jungle bridges, marsh walks and boat rides - just a 20 minute drive away near Horning. Wroxham Barns is nearby with independent shops, craft studios, a kids' farm, funfair and restaurant.

The fine city of Norwich is a 40 minute drive away, and offers shopping, museums, restaurants and a choice of theatres.

There’s a great choice of places to eat out locally including beachside cafes, local pubs and fine dining restaurants.

We had a lovely stay at Mariner's Way for our minimoon! The bungalow has everything you could need, it was lovely and clean with super comfortable beds. We loved chilling in the conservatory playing games or reading after taking some lovely walks on the beach and around the local area. Winterton is a lovely place, peaceful and friendly.

I’ve just come back from a short break with my two dogs at Mariner’s. What can I say about the property 🤔WOW WOW WOW! Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, very comprehensive welcome pack, amazingly comfortable beds, lovely shower and everything you could possibly need during your stay. as well as a fantastic location.. Lovely and peaceful but still only a short walk from a shop, cafe, fish and chip shop and pub AND a stunningly beautiful beach. We had amazing walks along the beach and then back through the dunes. I can’t wait to go back again and am already planning my next visit.

Just back from short break at Mariner's Way. We loved the bungalow, so modern, light and spacious, the owners have thought of everything it was so well equipped. Loved the garden and spent many happy hours just relaxing on the comfy garden furniture, also helped we had the sun out for the 4 days. We find Winterton on Sea such a nice place to come and stay, we have had a few holidays here over the years and will hopefully be back again soon. Thank you very much.
