The front door leads into an open plan living area with comfortable seating and dining for up to four guests. There's a TV, and the well equipped kitchen includes a hob, cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/drier.

In the main bedroom there's a king size bed, and the second bedroom has two 3' single beds. In the bathroom, there's a shower over the bath, wash basin and WC. The cottage has central heating throughout.

Outside there's an enclosed garden at the front of the cottage with a lawn, and patio furniture for guests. Location

Natterjack is situated down a quiet loke in Winterton-on-Sea, a pretty unspoilt village perched on the Norfolk Coast. It only takes 5-10 min to walk to long sandy beaches which are dog friendly all year round.

The local Fisherman’s Return pub (dog friendly) serves good food, and is a 5 minute walk from Natterjack. Also in the village within walking distance you’ll find the village shop, Poppy’s post office and tea rooms (we can recommend the breakfasts), a fish & chip shop and Seal View café at the beach.

There’s an excellent choice of walks right from the doorstep, and Winterton Dunes is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). From the end of November to the beginning of January it’s pupping season for the local grey seal colony, with literally thousands of them on Horsey beach just 10 mins drive from Winterton. It’s an amazing sight to see.

For cyclists there’s a great choice of routes and trails to enjoy. A little further afield the Norfolk Broads offers scenic boat trips or hire your own boat for the day. There’s also fishing, kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding available.

For families, the seaside town of Gt Yarmouth is only a 15 minute drive away, with a sandy beach, end of pier entertainment, Sea Life centre, amusement arcades, pleasure beach, bowling, cinemas, Venetian Waterways, crazy golf and much more. We also recommend the award winning BeWILDerwood an outdoor tree house adventure park with zip wires, jungle bridges, marsh walks and boat rides - just a 20 minute drive away near Horning. Wroxham Barns is nearby with independent shops, craft studios, a kids' farm, funfair and restaurant.

The fine city of Norwich is a 40 minute drive away, and offers shopping, museums, restaurants and a choice of theatres.

There’s a great choice of places to eat out locally including beachside cafes, local pubs and fine dining restaurants and we provide all guests with a comprehensive list in our digital welcome information.

Natterjack cottage is very special. The owners have thought of everything you may need. The furniture and beds are very comfortable and the main living space is very spacious but still feels very cosy. The garden is also much bigger than I expected and gets the sun in the afternoons so both my dog and I enjoyed spending time out there. We also appreciated the cake and goodies that were there when we arrived. The location is great as well and only a few minutes walk to the beach and dunes. I'd definitely recommend Natterjack cottage and I'll certainly be returning.

Our journey to Norfolk was quite long due to road works and getting held up in the tailback following a nasty accident so we were somewhat frazzled when we arrived but within 10 minutes of arriving at Natterjack Cottage that all melted away as we were cocooned by this lovely place, very comfortable, very well equipped, super dog friendly and in the most lovely village. We’ve enjoyed a lovely week of dune and beach walks, trying both cafes and the pub, in fact we haven’t felt the need to go far at all as Natterjack Cottage and Winterton provided everything we needed, thank you this place is definitely on our list to return to, we loved it.

What an amazing stay we had at Natterjack! Beautiful cottage equipped with everything you could possibly need and much more. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable bed. Secure garden and very peaceful. There is a short walk to the sand dunes and beach, this is a beautiful area with a lovely cafe where you can grab a coffee or something to eat. Communication with the owners is very quick and easy and they are extremely helpful. This was a perfect short break for us and we are already thinking about when we can return!

We found Natterjack a comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped place to stay; a true home from home. Instructions and correspondence with the owners was informative and prompt. I would absolutely recommend Natterjack and Winterton, and hope to be able to visit again.

This was our 4th holiday to Winterton-on-Sea and our 2nd stay at the beautiful Natterjack Cottage. We take lots of staycations in the UK and I can honestly say that Natterjack is by far our favourite. The Cottage is well equipped, spotlessly clean and very dog friendly. Winterton has everything you need on your doorstep, pub, fish & chips, local shop, tea room, beach cafe plus amazing dog friendly beach and dunes to explore. I would highly recommend for families and people looking for a great dog friendly holiday.
