Description

You enter through the front porch which has ample hanging space for coats and boot storage. Off the hallway is a spacious living room with large sliding doors overlooking the garden. There are comfortable sofas, a smart TV with Sky and an open fire. Walk round the side of the fire and there’s a separate dining area, which leads through to the kitchen (also accessible from the hallway).

A well equipped modern kitchen has an electric oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and integrated dishwasher. Off the kitchen is a useful utility room with a separate washing machine and tumble drier. The utility room also has an outside door so you can also enter the cottage that way and there's an outside tap here too.

The main bedroom suite has a king size bed, and patio doors overlook the back garden. It has a dressing room area and en-suite with a walk in shower, washbasin and WC. Bedroom two is at the front of the cottage and has twin 3’ single beds, which can be joined together to make a super king double on request. There’s a second bathroom just opposite with a shower over the bath, washbasin and WC.

Outside the secluded garden is fully enclosed with a flint wall backing onto the dunes. There is an outside dining table and four chairs and an artificial lawn. At the front of the property there is ample parking for three cars. Two dogs are welcome at Pebblelight but more may be possible – please ask us. Dogs are very welcome throughout the property. If they join you on the furniture we do ask that you use the throws provided.

Location

Pebblelight is situated down a quiet loke in Winterton-on-Sea, a pretty unspoilt village perched on the Norfolk Coast. It only takes 5-10 min to walk to long sandy beaches which are dog friendly all year round.

The local Fisherman’s Return pub (dog friendly) serves good food, and is a 5 minute walk from Pebblelight. Also in the village within walking distance you’ll find the village shop, Poppy’s post office and tea rooms (we can recommend the breakfasts), a fish & chip shop and Seal View café at the beach.

There’s an excellent choice of walks right from the doorstep, and Winterton Dunes is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). From the end of November to the beginning of January it’s pupping season for the local grey seal colony, with literally thousands of them on Horsey beach just 10 mins drive from Winterton. It’s an amazing sight to see.

For cyclists there’s a great choice of routes and trails to enjoy. A little further afield the Norfolk Broads offers scenic boat trips or hire your own boat for the day. There’s also fishing, kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding available.

For families, the seaside town of Gt Yarmouth is only a 15 minute drive away, with a sandy beach, end of pier entertainment, Sea Life centre, amusement arcades, pleasure beach, bowling, cinemas, Venetian Waterways, crazy golf and much more. We also recommend the award winning BeWILDerwood an outdoor tree house adventure park with zip wires, jungle bridges, marsh walks and boat rides - just a 20 minute drive away near Horning. Wroxham Barns is nearby with independent shops, craft studios, a kids' farm, funfair and restaurant.

The fine city of Norwich is a 40 minute drive away, and offers shopping, museums, restaurants and a choice of theatres.

Pebblelight was a great find. The perfect place for us, our friends and the two dogs. It was clean and tidy and the perfect layout for us to have our own space. Lots of room to park and a nice little secure garden. A very short walk straight into the dunes and miles of empty beach. We saw far more seals than humans! Winterton is a lovely little village with a great pub, coffee shop and the best fish and chip shop. Highly recommended 😊

This was our second visit to Pebblelight and once again we had a fabulous holiday. The property is very homely and comfortable, the garden is a good size and very secure for our dogs, it is close to the beach and all of the eating places in Winterton. We hope to be back next year.

Had a lovely stay at Pebblelight. Great location. Dog loved the sandy dunes and swimming in the sea at the gorgeous Winterton beach. Lovely to see seals swimming past.

Pebblelight is in a perfect location, I have stayed before - so know that I can park up on the private drive and not use the car to get around Winterton. Lorraine has provided everything for a home-from-home feeling; from comfortable beds to a well equipped kitchen. The garden table and chairs were a new addition this year, and much used on our stay! Pebblelight is just a short stroll over the sand dunes to the beach. And walking back, the dog friendly Poppys tearoom is worth a visit. Winterton fish and chips shop now has an app for your phone - just order online and get a notification with a collection time. I have already booked our 2026 stay!

We enjoyed another excellent stay at Pebblelight. Comfortable and clean and the welcome basket is always a nice treat. The location is great to explore the beach and dunes. Will definitely be back.

We had a fantastic stay at Pebblelight.The bungalow is immaculate, and very comfortable. Everything you need has been provided, even a lovely welcome gift which was very much appreciated. Winterton is beautiful, the beach stunning. We had a wonderful time and our dogs absolutely loved it . Our visit to Horsey Gap to see the seals is a amazing experience. Highly recommend a stay at Pebblelight.

Had a lovely four day break here , it was nice and warm when we arrived and we felt at home immediately. It’s so close to the beach , shop , cafe , pub and chippy you couldn’t ask for a better location. The locals are very friendly too ! The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog and I’m sure it’s a sun trap in the summertime. We loved being able to hear the sea from the back garden ! There’s plenty of space for four adults so as a couple with one dog we had plenty of room . The super king bed was really comfortable, it could do with a couple of extra pillows though . We liked that it was carpeted apart from the kitchen and bathrooms , it makes it very homely. We have stayed in Winterton a few times and this was the nicest holiday home we’ve rented so far. The owners are always available should you need them which is also a plus point .

Comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, everything we needed in the kitchen. Easy access to the beach- which our dogs loved- and a useful shop in the village. We would recommend Pebblelight to friends, and hope to return ourselves.

Great to see the bungalow during a different season and still be able to soak up the sun in the sheltered, walled garden. A lovely, comfortable base from which to explore the countryside on foot. It really is a property where humans and dogs are made to feel truly welcome.

We had a lovely holiday in Pebblelight. It is a lovely bungalow fully equipped with everything you need for a holiday, It has a garden which is great as my dog loved it. Lovely comfy beds which was a bonus, a few minutes to the dunes and beach. A short drive or walk to the pub but a few minutes walk to Poppies which does great breakfast and snacks during the day, a small supermarket and the fish and chip shop which I thoroughly recommend . Great Yarmouth , Hemsby, Horsey are easily reach by car as well as lots of other places also within easy reach. I definitely recommend Pebblelight and we hope to return.

Pebblelight is a real home-from-home. The kitchen is very well equipped, the best I have ever experienced. All fixtures a fitting are good quality. When I first arrived, I was concerned about the weather forecast and having g 2 small dogs - but for the 10 days I spent at Pebblelight I used the utility room entrance - so that we were all brushed off before entering the accommodation. I will have no hesitation in booking to stay again.

We had a really enjoyable stay at Pebblelight. The bungalow was very comfortable and clean with a very secure garden. The village of Winterton-on-Sea is very friendly and you can’t ask for more than having a pub, coffee shop, fish n chip shop and a super market all within 5 minutes of Pebblelight. Walking the dogs along the dunes, both directions, then onto the beach have given us some very happy times. Hope to return next year.

Had a very relaxing holiday in this lovely bungalow in Winterton on sea. Everything you require for your holiday is there, nice little store at end of road to get some essentials you may have forgot, and just across from there is a fabulous fish and chip shop and very tasty indeed. Carry on down this road and it will lead you to the beach also a great snack coffee and tea place to be found there. Loads of places to wander around, and a little hint on walking back to the bungalow from the beach is, as you get to the 1st road on the left, you will see a narrow footpath opposite it, this brings you back to the gravel drive leading back to the bungalow.
