Stone's Throw is a traditional fisherman's cottage which has been lovingly renovated by the current owners to provide a fabulous little bolthole for either a family or a couple. The south facing front garden is fully enclosed and safe for dogs, and a lane behind the cottage leads directly to the dunes and the beach.

The living room overlooks the south facing front garden, and has a large corner sofa with a flat screen wall mounted TV with Freeview. There is a wood burning stove in the original fireplace. Stairs lead up from the living room directly into the main bedroom. The downstairs bathroom has a bath with shower, washbasin and WC. The original doors have been retained for character. The kitchen/diner has an electric cooker, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, full size dishwasher and washing machine. At the front of the kitchen is a dining table with seating for four people.

The main bedroom has a standard size double bed, and is accessed by the original Norfolk winder steep stairs which lead up from the lounge straight into the bedroom. It has a flat screen wall mounted TV and a small ensuite bathroom with a washbasin and WC. From bedroom one a door leads straight into bedroom two with twin single beds.

At the front of the cottage the south facing garden is fully enclosed and has a patio table and chairs, as well as a chimaera. Up to one large dog or two small dogs are allowed at Stone’s Throw Cottage at £15 per dog. There is off road parking for one car in the little lane outside the cottage, with free parking available on the road.

  • Amazing little cottage. We stayed for May bank holiday weekend. This out third stay in Winterton but our first stay at Stones Throw and we loved it. It has everything you need, very comfortable and cosy. It's home from home. We would definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend.

  • This is a very comfortable and cosy cottage, warm and inviting in the winter and extremely well equipped. In a great area for walking in the dunes, along the beach and the broads.

  • This was our second stay in this lovely cottage. Just what we needed: long walks, hot chocolate in the Dunes cafe, fish & chips from Winterton Fish Bar. Cannot wait to come back again.

  • We have had a beautiful week here in Stone's Throw Cottage and the weather has been mild for December. Saw the seals and pups which was magical. Thoroughly enjoyed the lovely walks over the dunes and back and hope to return soon. Many thanks for the comfortable, peaceful and well equipped cottage.

  • Stayed at Stones throw last November, it is a very cosy little cottage and ideal for a couple. It has been tastefully decorated and renovated to a good standard. It is on the small side, so better for couples and their dogs than larger families I suspect, also it would certainly not be suitable for anyone with any mobility issues as the stairs leading directly to the master bedroom are very steep! Loved the fact they had a "doggy box" for the dogs that might stay! The sea is about a 10-15 minute walk across the sand dunes, and the location of the cottage is in a quiet part of the village. All in all, a nice little cottage to use as a base if you enjoy walking your dogs. Winterton is a sleepy little village, with a couple a couple of shops, a pub and a nice beach. Ideal if you just want peace and quiet.

  • What a fabulous little cottage just got back from 5 nights stay, so close to the dunes and lovely beach, we wanted a quiet week away just to chill due to busy jobs and thats what we got, lots of lovely walks with our little dog Milly and she loved it too. We went to the pub a couple of nights, big portions only had a temporary kitchen due to an extension being built. We also tried the fish and chip shop which was good, A lot of attractions were closed due to time of year will come back for another visit, but one thing that was amazing was the seals at Horsey beach.
