Situated in a great position in the Lighthouse Field, guests staying at Winnie can enjoy easy access to the dunes and beach, as well as access to the facilities at Hermanus Holidays including the open air heated swimming pool during the summer.

Property Details

Winnie is situated in a small development of holiday homes in the Lighthouse Field behind Hermanus Holidays in Winterton-on-Sea. The property is in a quiet position with a wide open space in front, and views across open countryside. Access to the dunes and beach is quick and easy from Winnie. The Tiddler is also on the same site and sleeps 4.

Inside you'll find an open plan living area, electric fire and TV. There's a dining area which seats four, and a well equipped kitchen with hob, oven, microwave and a fridge with a small freezer compartment. The chalet is decorated tastefully throughout.

There are two comfortable bedrooms, each with a standard double bed. A brand new bathroom has a large walk in shower, washbasin and WC.

Up to two dogs are welcome at Winnie, but the grounds are not enclosed.

Guests at Winnie have access to the facilities at Hermanus*, including the outdoor heated swimming pool which is open from late May to early September. It is right next to the childrens' play area and surrounded by a brick wall to keep out the coastal breeze. There's wifi in the main building at Hermanus along with a launderette and plenty of parking on site. The Coach & Horses bar & lounge is at the front of the main Hermanus building with amazing sea views, and is open for drinks and food throughout the week.

Booked a 5day holiday at Winnie from the 26th August 2024. The accommodation was well presented, clean and had everything we needed during the stay. Handy information booklet with lots of places to visit near by. The village was lovely and the chalet is only a short walk away from a stunning beach. Our 2 dogs loved it here. Very dog friendly area. Would definitely stay here again. Winnie is not to be missed!

Absolutely beautiful chalet. Everything from the bedding to the pictures on the wall were just perfect, the owners have definitely added their magic touch… Perfect location right on the beach and walking distance to the village pub, chippy and shop. Very highly recommended and already looking at dates for next year.

A fantastic break at Winnie. The chalet was beautifully decorated, clean and very welcoming. Beautiful views and fantastic walks all around. We will recommend to family and friends and would definitely stay again.

What a lovely chalet “Winnie” is beautifully decorated with lots of thought gone into it. In a fantastic place right near to the dunes and miles of sandy beaches 😎. The town of Winterton on Sea was very quiet and quaint. We were also lucky to see muntjac deer in front of the chalet. I would recommend this property to friends and family ❤️. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Another superb stay at Winnie. So comfortable, clean, and welcoming. Great location for walking in the dunes and on the stunning Winterton beach. Close to the village with Poppy's tea room, Winterton Fish & Chips & The Fisherman's Return. I love the view from the big windows out into the fields. We were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the deer this time, too.

The Winnie is a WINNER both for comfort and style! The owners have thought of everything, it's like home from home but by the coast.
Pickle enjoyed lying by the window watching the squirrels and seagulls and wanted to get out and play with them!!! We loved the decor and the
pictures on the walls very stylish and apt for the area. Seriously one of the best holiday homes we have ever visited in the Winterton area, a credit
to the owners!

We had the loveliest few days staying in Winnie and despite some rain we managed to enjoy the beach and the village. Winnie is a perfect retreat, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Our shih tzu Gizmo enjoyed watching the squirrels and birds from the back window. We also saw a young muntjac deer a couple of times in the early morning. We will definitely be booking again in the future and can't wait to come back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Absolutely smashing cottage. Decor is top notch and we loved the attention to details. A well looked after home and we felt right at home too. A small issue with the hot water but the matter was reported and apologies given. We bought our labrador and he loved the garden area. We enjoyed using the pool on the site. Local pub, cafe and fish and chips shop all used and very tasty! Walks through the Dunes and to the beach. We shall be back and look forward to another stay.

We stayed at Winnie from May 19th to 26th and had a really lovely time. The chalet is beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Great location, just a short walk from all the local amenities and the amazing beach. Especially enjoyed watching the muntjac deer and pheasant who wandered about outside the chalet as well as the bats who appeared in the evenings. Can highly recommend Winnie and would love to stay here again in the future.

Really enjoyed our stay. It’s decorated beautifully, makes you feel right at home and had everything you could possibly need. It was very quiet and cosy. Easy access to the beach, extremely dog friendly (my dog loved the area) and Fisherman Return pub food is great. Would definitely stay again!

Just come back from a 4 night stay. First time in Norfolk, and I will be booking a returning next year. Winnie is in a lovely location, its quiet and peaceful....just what I needed! I even contemplated purchasing a holiday home for myself whilst I was here. Have also recommended Winnie to family members who would also love it. The deer outside the door one afternoon was lovely to see. Amazing beaches near by and some fantastic gems of places to eat. Most places are dog friendly too. The welcome book with local knowledge and places to eat and visit is a nice touch and came in handy. Not your typical holiday park and Winnie by far has the best spot here.

Stayed at Winnie 12-16th September. The chalet is a perfect place to stay, big enough for four, although it was just the two of us. Has everything that you need and is very comfy, and really well decorated. Village is lovely, great fish and chips and the Fisherman’s pub also. A well stocked convenience store too. The beach is gorgeous and we saw 2 seals. Winnie is a great base for exploring and coming back for a little afternoon siesta, it was so peaceful, spending time watching the squirrel on the bird feeder!

I stayed at Winnie for a long weekend with my 10-year-old son. The chalet was perfect for us - very comfortable and well equipped, and my son loved being able to use the pool. It's a short walk over the dunes to a beautiful, quiet beach. Winterton is a lovely little village with a great fish and chip shop. Highly recommended.

A perfect little bolthole for a long weekend. Clean and comfortable, tastefully decorated and containing everything we could possibly need. The location is excellent, quiet with great views and a couple of minutes from the dunes which lead straight onto the beach. Winterton is wonderfully dog friendly and we always enjoy long walks and the empty beaches in the area. Thank you.

Just returned from 4 night stay at Winnie. Spotless, kitchen fully equipped with every thing you'd ever need. Beautiful views across fields..squirrels and pheasants amongst other wildlife! Sheen host is at end of phone to answer any questions. 5 mins from dunes and beautiful clean beach. Fish and chip shop has just reopened under new ownership. Fisherman's Return as hospitable as ever!

We loved our 3night stay in Winnie. The chalet was very comfortable, beautifully decorated. Location was great, easy to get around. The dogs loved the beach and sand dunes, the erosion was sad to see. We were very lucky with the weather, walked for miles each day. Will be recommending Winnie to friends and family and will hopefully be booking again at some point.

Just wow!! Such a lovely accommodation like home from home. Beautifully decorated and everything was just right. Loved Winnie's location as it's at the end near the lovely trees where watching the squirrels daily was fun. Was lucky to see a deer strolling around on the field outside too. Met the lovely housekeeper who told us about the seals on the beach. Everything is no more than 40 mins drive or less away. Lots to see and do in the area. Very dog friendly and everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Missing Winnie already and definitely booking again!! Thank you for letting us stay

We had a superb time staying in Winnie for our 4 night break in July. It was wonderful with the beach so close and the beaches are beautiful.
The accommodation was really comfortable nothing was missing and I dont think anything could have been included to make it any more comfortable. The love seat outside allowed us to sit comfortably outside. I do have a disability with a leg and this accommodation allowed me to be just as indrpendantvas normal. There was nothing I could not reach. The rain shower in the bathroom is great too. Both bedrooms were comfortably decorated and the local art displayed is simply beautiful. We will return.

We absolutely loved our stay at Winnie, the chalet is beautiful inside and has a lovely open green area directly outside which was great for our dog. Location is great for the beach, on site bar & pool and also the cracking little pub down the road, a 5 minute walk. We were 2 couples and a dog and stayed for a weekend in June. We were lucky with the weather and spent some time on the beach before exploring the area. We will definitely return!

Winne is decorate to the highest standard and there was nothing to fault, the location by the beach was a dream for walking our dog. The village is beautiful and local pub has amazing food. We cannot wait to come back and explore more of the natural beauty of the area. Thank you

Just returned from a wonderful stay in Winnie. Very stylish and comfortable bungalow and we particularly liked the position with the large garden area a bonus. Had a pheasant, a squirrel and a deer visit the garden each evening. Everything you need and more covered. Very spacious with masses of storage if needed. Met the housekeeper when leaving who was very friendly and recommended some places to eat. We highly recommend, more than happy to do so now as we’ve already booked for next year 😄

Winnie is situated in a wonderful location. It is right next to the dunes and gorgeous beach. This area is a dog owner's dream. The nearby pub, beach cafe area and site pub all welcome dogs. Winnie has been decorated very tastefully and has everything you need for your relaxing getaway. I would highly recommend it.
