Tigh-Na-Mara is a single storey chalet in a prime front row position on Winterton Valley Estate. With spectacular sea views, guests at Tigh-Na-Mara have direct access to the dunes and beach, whilst being only a short walk away from Winterton-on-Sea village.

Property Details

Tigh-Na-Mara - Gaelic for 'house by the sea' or 'beach house' - is a compact two bedroom chalet in a prime position on Winterton Valley Estate, with amazing uninterrupted sea views. Direct access to the dunes and beach is right in front of the chalet.

Inside, the open plan living area includes a comfortable sofa, TV with Sky and a DVD player, as well as a dining table with seating for three. The well equipped kitchen area includes a fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster, as well as washing machine. Bedroom one has a standard double size bed, and uninterrupted sea views. Bedroom two has an adult size bunk bed. The bathroom includes a shower over the bath, wash basin and WC.

Winterton Valley Estate is a short walk from Winterton village, and is open from the end of March until the end of October. There is no clubhouse or amenities on site and the chalets are very well spaced out, so the estate offers a peaceful and relaxed environment to enjoy your stay. Tigh-Na-Mara also has WiFi for guests.

Tigh-Na-Mara has electric heating, and has parking behind the chalet. Up to three dogs are allowed at Tigh-Na-Mara, but must be kept on the lead in the chalet park - Tigh-Na-Mara doesn't have an enclosed garden area. Please note it's park policy that dogs shouldn't be left on their own in chalets in case they bark.

Had another lovely holiday in this lovely chalet , it’s a fabulous location and has everything you need or have forgotten! Great beaches and miles of dunes for the dog walks . Will rebook next year 💯

A really lovely chalet in a stunning location. The chalet is fully equipped for a family stay. The kids and dog loved playing on the beach. It is a really peaceful setting but with amenities and entertainment in nearby towns if needed. The views from the chalet are beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and we would definitely stay again.

5th visit and always lovely chalet. Host welcoming and easy to contact. Ricky the groundsman keeps the estate looking beautiful and always friendly. The chalet has every bit uf equipment you'd need. Thoroughly recommend it!

Tigh Na Mara and the stunning location continue to deliver, this was our fourth visit and we just love it. Our 5 year old lab gets excited as soon as we pull into the carpark! We tried a few new walks and visits this year and we’re always content knowing the view waiting for us each morning. A bonus that the weather never disappoints, sunny Winterton!

This was our second visit and it didn't disappoint - July 2023. We stayed for two weeks. The chalet has everything you would need, it's clean tidy and with an upgrade (fridge freezer), we were able to shop accordingly. The area is beautifully and peaceful, the view from the chalet I think is stunning. It's perfect for walks, especially for dog walking. I said in my first review 2019, I don't believe we could have found a more prefect setting for myself and family. Big thank you to the owner. It's a lovely chalet in a beautiful location.

Having stayed at Tigh-Na-Mara numerous times now we still find it completely relaxing . we don't have to worry about what we are going to find we just know the chalet will be very clean and ready for us to start our holiday . Many thanks to Tracy for our enjoyable stays

Lovely place to stay and would recommend. Its a great place for dog owners and you get the beach to yourself! There is a great pub called the Fisherman's Return in the village that does fabulous food. We will be back!

Fantastic from the minute we arrived and saw the view ! The chalet was lovely and clean and perfectly set out with everything you needed. Anyone who is a telly addict or kids needing a fix of Disney on a rainy day will be happy . Fabulous walks minutes away and plenty of beach to explore. We will be back!

My husband, me and our dog had a wonderful holiday at Tigh-Na-Mara last week! It must be the best positioned chalet with panoramic views of the sea. The large green area between is amazing too. It gives the feeling there is nothing between you and the edge of the world! It is dog walkers and dog's paradise! As you may gather we enjoyed ourselves and will be back next year.

100% perfect! Views are incredible. Chalet is spotlessly clean, with everything and more provided. Didn’t want for anything all week. Would absolutely stay here again. Great chalet on a great park, perfect walks along the beach with the dog, cracking pub in the village (Fisherman’s return), just a brilliant week.

Just come back after a week at Tigh-Na-Mara chalet is well kept and has everything you need for your stay. WiFi and sky tv are an added bonus as is the great view. If you enjoy the beach or the sand dunes with your dog the location is perfect.
This is our 3rd visit and I know we will be returning in 2022.

Just had a glorious week at Winterton, really didn’t want to go home. Everything was catered for, beautiful view, we went walking on the beach most days. Saw the seals, so very peaceful, the whole estate is so well kept. One thing we would recommend something to hold onto getting in and out the shower, us old ones struggle a bit. Apart from that would recommend the chalet first class. Please pass our thanks to the owner of Tigh-Na-Mara, great holiday xx

We have just returned from a very relaxing week at Tigh-Na-Mara. We have been visiting Winterton-on-Sea for over 30 years and this is by far the best chalet we have stayed in. So cosy and every thing you need is provided we will be returning in September along with Daisy dog

Just returned from 9 days at this lovely chalet. There was everything supplied & a lot more extras & with a bonus Tassimo coffee machine. The dunes & beach are superb, great walking area. It was extremely quiet everywhere & the site was immaculate, very well looked after.
Visited many villages & broads ,some we’ve not seen- Ranworth was super. Poppy’s was excellent & now with massive umbrella for wet weather. Poppylands -Waxham Barns - & Dunes cafe Acle also close by.

Lovely chalet, very clean and so well equipped we couldn't think of anything that was missing and there was a brand new coffee machine! Location and views were amazing, Winterton Valley Estate is well looked after and was very peaceful. We spent many hours sitting outside in the sun watching the dog walkers going by. A short walk through the dunes to a fabulous beach. The local café in the village has a patio at the back which is s sun trap for a morning coffee and great bacon roll. We had such a wonderful relaxing and time and would highly recommend the chalet.

What a superb location for a totally relaxing and peaceful stay on the stunning Norfolk coastline. I was up early everyday just to soak up the view. The chalet is just right, very clean and lots of useful little touches. Ssh don’t tell too many people about this- I am coming back soon to see the baby seals!

We had a wonderful time staying here last week. It was very clean and in a really good position 50 yards from the dunes. We took our three dogs with us and they had water bowls and toys etc for them in the chalet. You don’t need to take anything with you as everything is there iron, Washing machine, microwave etc. It is a lovely place Winterton-on-Sea it has a lovely pub with good food and dogs friendly. There is also a good cafe next to the dunes. I recommend Tigh na Mara highly.

The chalet is clean and tidy with everything you would need, iron, outdoor chairs etc. My family and I were very comfortable there. What makes it so special is the location on the Winterton Valley Estate. It's just stunning with awesome views, direct access to the dunes and beach. It's also a great place for dog walking. In the evening there is less light pollution so you get to see a lot more stars. Take a torch and do some dunes night walks brilliant. There is a pub in Winterton called the Fisherman's return, would highly recommend, friendly and great food. It was our first holiday in Norfolk and I'm not sure we could have found a better spot. We will be booking again.

We had a wonderful time at Tigh-Na-Mara. What a sunning view!! even better than it looked in the picture. The chalet was clean and very cosy with really comfy beds and everything we needed. It was so nice to have such a stunning stretch of unspoilt beach right there, perfect for our dog who loves to run free. We would definitely recommend this little gem and hope to come back ourselves at some point.

This was our first holiday staying in Tigh Na Mara - where shall I begin? Well the 1st thing that struck us was how clean the whole chalet was, 2nd the incredible view, 3rd all the stuff we needed is there: a full size washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen. 4th all the beds and bedding was comfortable, 5th the amazing walks along the valley or on top of the dunes or along the beach.
