  • We just had the most perfect weekend away , with family and four dogs. The house garden and paddock were all amazing and really could not of asked for anything more. The kitchen was very well equipped and so much space everywhere for everyone. Such a great location with everything nearby including the pub which is literally a few doors away. We will most definitely return… thank you for one of the best holiday accommodations we have stayed in!

  • We had a lovely relaxing stay at The Old Carpenter’s Shop. The property is unique, well appointed and spotlessly clean. The addition of the lift meant it was ideal for us as my husband has reduced mobility, so very accessible. The kitchen is well equipped and the welcome basket of goodies was a pleasant surprise. It is very dog friendly and the safe, private paddock behind the house was a real asset for us - our dog is nervous of other dogs and reactive, so to have somewhere safe and quiet for her to run around off lead was great. Also easy access to many dog friendly beaches. Walking distance to a great foodie pub. Very happy to recommend a stay here.

  • Lovely accommodation set in a lovely location, attention to detail was amazing and was especially nice to arrive and see the house decorated for Christmas. We took our five sausage dogs with us and they loved long walks around the enclosed field behind the property.
We will be booking again for next year.

  • What a wonderful place The Carpenters Shop is. Very impressed with the thought and care that has gone into making this a home from home, right down to the lovely dog beds which are on both floors. The quality of everything is fabulous with so much thought having gone into it. My 90 year old Mum loved the lift and she was totally in awe of the how lovely and sympathetically The Carpenter Shop has been maintained. Every time she looked around she saw something she’d not seen before. Loved loved loved having access to the field, so handy for my bouncy 18 month old Cocker Spaniel! Also the location is really perfect for beaches etc. the Kings Arms is nice and handy too!
Thank you for a lovely memorable week, we’ll be back! Deb, Mari, Jo and Kya (the spaniel)

  • This cottage is beautiful. It is quirky with lots of historical memorabilia within it. It is wonderfully equipped and having the exclusive paddock was the icing on the cake.

  • We enjoyed such a wonderful stay at the Carpenter’s Shop. The house was clean, tidy and had so many little touches that made it even better. The garden and adjoining paddock was a wonderful bonus for our dog who cannot be let off the lead normally. The guidance on things to do, places to eat, etc was incredibly useful and some of the best advice relating to a holiday home we’ve ever received. I seriously could not fault it and we hope to stay again in the future!

  • We had a fantastic 4 night stay at The Carpenters shop. Such a relaxing week with my partner, our 2 children (age 16 and 18) and our Labrador Buddy. The house is fully equipped with everything you will need, the beds are comfortable and the underfloor heating downstairs is lovely!. My favourite thing about this house though has to be the outside space …. It was so nice for my dog to be able to run free on the field at the back of the house … it’s fully secure and just for you own use, Buddy loved it!! He also loved the different options of dog beds around the house … he was spoilt for choice. This house has been well thought out and the design and features around the house are fantastic. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

  • Fabulous holiday let. Very well equipped and lovely comfy beds. The dogs enjoyed the paddock for early morning walks. The close proximity to a wonderful pub/restaurant The Kings Arms was an added bonus. If you you stay here you must try it!

  • 2 adults 3 dogs, one of which is reactive to dogs and people. Our stay at The Carpenter's Shop was blissful. The 2 acre field right outside for our sole use was heaven for the pups. We were able to get out there with them 2-3 times a day for a good play and walkabout. The home itself is slightly unusual with its upside down structure but extremely comfortable and cozy. Plenty of space, and an amazing kitchen. The Tuesday chippy at the village hall across the road is well worth a visit. Neighbours were friendly and it was just a week of total relaxation. We will definitely be back!

  • We stayed with six dogs in august at this amazing house. It was so peaceful that our dogs never barked once during the stay. The field is a bonus as the dogs can have a walk before heading out for the day. The nearby beaches were peaceful and dog friendly. A meal in the pub in the village is a must have. So good we went there twice. If you like peace and quiet this is the place to be

  • 4 adults and 3 dog's returned on Friday from such a lovely stay at Carpenters Cottage. Everything about the stay was so comfortable, and we loved the layout of the entire house and garden. Added bonus was the very large paddock which is included with the property. All of our dogs loved it and they slept very well on the comfy dog beds provided too. Will definitely be back.

  • Myself, husband, daughter & four Labrador’s have just returned from a stay at The Carpenters Shop. It is the most FANTASTIC home can’t speak highly enough of it. Everything about the property has been so carefully thought out, the lift was perfect for our needs, our daughters wheelchair & 16 yr old labrador. The house has so much space along with garden & beautiful paddock attached. Dog beds & blankets for all the sofas made for us to totally relax with our dogs. We all can’t wait to returning 😀

  • We stayed at this lovely house from the 10th to 14th April, 4 adults, 1 child and two dogs. The bedrooms were all good sized and very comfortable. The lift proved to be a start attraction for the grand daughter and granny. The paddock was heaven for the two dogs. Everyone enjoyed their stay and the house exceeded all of our expectations.
