Property Details

The Carpenters Shop is situated in the heart of the beautiful Norfolk village of Fleggburgh. This three bedroom property offers lots of outside space to enjoy and a short 10 minutes drive of a choice of beaches at either Winterton-on-Sea, Caister or Hemsby. The Norfolk Broads are close by and there's a fantastic pub - The Kings Arms - just 5 mins walk from the house.

This quirky and eccentric property has reminders of its history throughout, including old tools regenerated as clothes hooks and old oil canisters converted to fabulous light fittings.

Through the front door is a large entrance hall. The three bedrooms are all situated downstairs with a lift or stairs to the first floor, making this property fully accessible for all. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed with en suite shower room, with two further bedrooms having a standard double bed, and two 3' single beds. There is a modern bathroom with large walk in shower, sink and WC.

In addition to the bedrooms downstairs, there's an open plan living space with a dining table for six and a comfortable L-shaped sofa to enjoy views of the garden. Patio doors to the garden and patio areas help welcome the outside in. There is a handy utility area with small fridge, sink, washing machine and accessories to outside via the back door.

Venture upstairs via the spiral staircase (or you can use the lift in the hall). A large open plan living area has a corner sofa, additional sofa, Smart TV, kitchen area and dining area. The kitchen is well equipped with a breakfast bar and four bar stools, an electric hob and oven, dishwasher and an under counter fridge and freezer. Patio doors open up to a balcony with bistro set for the perfect place for morning coffee.

To the rear of the property there is a spacious enclosed garden with patio and BBQ area enclosed with chestnut and wire stock fence. Beyond the garden fencing there is a 2.5 acre fully enclosed exercise paddock for the sole use of guests which has 1.2m wire stock fence all the way round in addition to hedging on 3 sides. There is off road parking at the front of the property for multiple vehicles. Unlimited number of dogs are welcome free of charge. There is free wifi for guest use.

  • Fabulous holiday let. Very well equipped and lovely comfy beds. The dogs enjoyed the paddock for early morning walks. The close proximity to a wonderful pub/restaurant The Kings Arms was an added bonus. If you you stay here you must try it!

  • 2 adults 3 dogs, one of which is reactive to dogs and people. Our stay at The Carpenter's Shop was blissful. The 2 acre field right outside for our sole use was heaven for the pups. We were able to get out there with them 2-3 times a day for a good play and walkabout. The home itself is slightly unusual with its upside down structure but extremely comfortable and cozy. Plenty of space, and an amazing kitchen. The Tuesday chippy at the village hall across the road is well worth a visit. Neighbours were friendly and it was just a week of total relaxation. We will definitely be back!

  • We stayed with six dogs in august at this amazing house. It was so peaceful that our dogs never barked once during the stay. The field is a bonus as the dogs can have a walk before heading out for the day. The nearby beaches were peaceful and dog friendly. A meal in the pub in the village is a must have. So good we went there twice. If you like peace and quiet this is the place to be

  • 4 adults and 3 dog's returned on Friday from such a lovely stay at Carpenters Cottage. Everything about the stay was so comfortable, and we loved the layout of the entire house and garden. Added bonus was the very large paddock which is included with the property. All of our dogs loved it and they slept very well on the comfy dog beds provided too. Will definitely be back.

  • Myself, husband, daughter & four Labrador’s have just returned from a stay at The Carpenters Shop. It is the most FANTASTIC home can’t speak highly enough of it. Everything about the property has been so carefully thought out, the lift was perfect for our needs, our daughters wheelchair & 16 yr old labrador. The house has so much space along with garden & beautiful paddock attached. Dog beds & blankets for all the sofas made for us to totally relax with our dogs. We all can’t wait to returning 😀

  • We stayed at this lovely house from the 10th to 14th April, 4 adults, 1 child and two dogs. The bedrooms were all good sized and very comfortable. The lift proved to be a start attraction for the grand daughter and granny. The paddock was heaven for the two dogs. Everyone enjoyed their stay and the house exceeded all of our expectations.
