Description

Recently renovated, Seaview is on a quiet residential road overlooking Winterton Valley with direct access to the dunes below via a private gate at the end of the garden. With amazing sea views, this property is the perfect holiday home on the coast.

The front porch leads into a modern well equipped kitchen, with electric oven, hob, integrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. There's also a washing machine and separate drier. The open plan living and dining area makes the most of the fabulous sea views with double doors opening up to the enclosed back garden. The smart TV comes loaded with Netflix. Seaview has central heating throughout

There are two beautifully decorated and comfortable bedrooms: the main bedroom has a standard size double bed and sea views, and the second bedroom has twin single beds. There's a modern shower room with a walk in shower, washbasin and WC.

The property is dog friendly with hard flooring, dog throws, bowls and an outside dog shower. The garden is enclosed and there are miles of great walks on the doorstep. It's a 5-10 minute walk into Hemsby where there are shops, cafes and restaurants as well as amusements. Or if you fancy something quieter it's a 15-20 minute walk to Winterton-on-Sea.

Outside there's a large decking area to the side of the cottage which makes the most of the evening sun. The back garden is fully enclosed with a low hedge (with stock wire fencing in) at the back to make the most of the sea views. There is off road parking for one car. Four dogs are welcome at Seaview, but depending on size more may be possible - please ask us for more details.

Location

Seaview is tucked away on a quiet lane in the Long Beach area of Hemsby. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the dunes and long sandy beaches, or a 10 minute walk to the village of Hemsby where there are traditional amusements, entertainment, shops, restaurants, cafés and takeaways. You can also walk to Winterton-on-Sea through the dunes where you'll find the Fishermans Return pub, Poppy's Tea Room and Seal View cafe at the beach.

Great Yarmouth is just 6 miles away, with two piers offering a choice of live shows and music as well as ten pin bowling. Along the seafront you'll find everything this traditional seaside resort has to offer including amusements, Joyland funfair for children, Greay Yarmouth Pleasure Beach, Pirates Cove crazy golf, the Sea Life Centre, the Marina leisure centre with wave pool and a long wide sandy beach.

From late autumn until the end of January you'll be able to see the grey seal colony and their pups at nearby Horsey which is only a 15 minute drive away. You can park at the Dunes Cafe in Waxham or at the Nelson Head in Horsey - we recommend both even if you're not seal watching.

The Norfolk Broads are nearby, and there's a huge choice of boat trips or private day boat hire. Or for the more adventurous there's kayaking, canoeing or stand up paddle boarding. There are miles of inland waterways to explore, with plentiful wildlife and bird life to be found nearby.

Norwich is a 40 minute drive away, and offers shopping, museums, restaurants and a choice of theatres.

Just got back from an amazing stay at Seaview. The bungalow is super clean and tiny, it felt very homely. The beds were very comfortable, even the duvets and pillows were super luxurious. The views from the property are breathtaking, and the dunes are fabulous and great fun especially for dogs. The bungalow backs on to the sand dunes and you can easily reach the beach in a few minutes. You have a great view of the sea from the garden and from inside the property itself. This place is perfect for couples or for families with or without dogs. Our Frenchie absolutely loved the dunes and the walks along the dog friendly beach. It’s very spacious and not overcrowded. Another huge bonus was the warm water outdoor tap for showering off sandy paws and feet. The welcome gifts were so thoughtful and very much appreciated for both us and our dog. You can walk down to Winterton on Sea in 20 minutes or so, or head down to the shops and arcades which is around a 7 minute walk from the property. We were even lucky enough to see the odd seal or two in the sea. The sandy beach stretches on for miles and having the bungalow at such close proximity is a massive bonus. There is even a Fireworks display on Tuesday evening’s, my dog is not at all bothered by fireworks but it is worth mentioning especially if you have a nervous dog, it’s a quick display which started around 10pm. I would definitely stay here again, if you are looking for a relaxed beach getaway with amazing walks in the dunes then this is the perfect place to stay.

We had yet another lovely stay at Seaview. Although the weather wasn't brilliant, it was cosy clean comfortable. Nice easy walking distance to Hemsby for donuts and a pleasant lunch at the pub there. Recommend this cottage.

Wow what a super place amazing cottage and location. Cottage was spotless and Sonia and Steve have thought of everything you need even for the fur babies. Stunning views and access from the garden straight out onto the dunes Great when you have an anxious dog who refuses to pavement walk. Lovely welcoming dog friendly pub just across the road. Already booked for next year. Thank you for the lovely welcome pack!

This is a beautiful cottage with amazing views. Exceptionally clean, luxury bed linen, well equipped kitchen and lovely welcome pack to include home made dog treats. Great attention to detail for humans but also to include throws for the dogs and outside wash area for them. If you don't have dogs don't worry it may be "doggy" there is no hint of hairs or smells! I would definitely stay here again, had a problem with the heating that the owners sorted on a phone call. If you want a relaxing peaceful break with great views this is for you.

This ended up being a relatively last minute booking with two friends for a doggy weekend away. Booking was smooth and pre check in information was comprehensive and helpful, particularly the online book. The actual property has been finished to a really high standard and whilst modern is cosy. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, with everything you could think of and more. The communal space was plenty and this was with three large dogs. Beds and bedding were comfortable with ample space in both rooms for storage. The view and access to the beach from the property is perfect. Winterton is only a 20-25 mins walk away, which is a lovely little village. The host was easy to contact and quick to respond. Would definitely recommend a stay here!
