Description

Beach View Cottage is a stylish two bedroom single storey property, with a one bedroom annexe beside it. Together they can sleep six in three bedrooms, with three bathrooms (two are ensuite). The sea views from the cottage are stunning, and there's a beautiful garden, decking area, and direct access to the dunes below via private steps.

The property has been recently renovated to a very high standard, and is decorated with a nod to mid century style. At the back of the cottage the living area spans the width of the property, and the dining table in the bay window makes the most of those fabulous sea views. There's a comfortable sofa and chairs, wood burning stove and TV. Keen cooks will love the brand new kitchen at the front of the cottage with a double oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. There's also a conservatory on the side of the house.

In the main house there are two bedrooms: one with a kingsize bed and an ensuite shower room, and the other has a standard double size bed. The family bathroom has a bath, separate shower, washbasin and WC. The one bedroom annexe is right next to the main house, and has a twin bedroom with ensuite shower room, seating area and kitchenette. Patio doors offer breathtaking sea views.

Two dogs are welcome at no additional charge at Beach View and the garden is enclosed. It's a 5-10 minute walk into Hemsby where there are shops, cafes and restaurants as well as amusements. Or if you fancy something quieter it's a 15-20 minute walk to Winterton-on-Sea.

Outside the decking area is perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks. As well as the woodburner, Beach View has electric heating throughout. There is off road parking for two cars.

Location

Beach View Cottage is tucked away on a quiet lane in the Long Beach area of Hemsby. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the dunes and long sandy beaches, or a 10 minute walk to the village of Hemsby where there are traditional amusements, entertainment, shops, restaurants, cafés and takeaways. You can also walk to Winterton-on-Sea through the dunes where you'll find the Fishermans Return pub, Poppy's Tea Room and Seal View cafe at the beach.

Great Yarmouth is just 6 miles away, with two piers offering a choice of live shows and music as well as ten pin bowling. Along the seafront you'll find everything this traditional seaside resort has to offer including amusements, Joyland funfair for children, Greay Yarmouth Pleasure Beach, Pirates Cove crazy golf, the Sea Life Centre, the Marina leisure centre with wave pool and a long wide sandy beach.

From late autumn until the end of January you'll be able to see the grey seal colony and their pups at nearby Horsey which is only a 15 minute drive away. You can park at the Dunes Cafe in Waxham or at the Nelson Head in Horsey - we recommend both even if you're not seal watching.

The Norfolk Broads are nearby, and there's a huge choice of boat trips or private day boat hire. Or for the more adventurous there's kayaking, canoeing or stand up paddle boarding. There are miles of inland waterways to explore, with plentiful wildlife and bird life to be found nearby.

Norwich is a 40 minute drive away, and offers shopping, museums, restaurants and a choice of theatres.

Beach view is a fabulous property with amazing views of the sea. Communication was great, the cottage was lovely and clean, The kitchen is very well equipped with plenty of plates, cups etc. Both bedrooms are very nice with very comfortable beds, which was great. It was really peaceful and quiet, plus we found people there very friendly. The views from the back of the cottage are amazing. It was lovely just looking out at the sea, and hearing the sound of the waves. Great bonus with the gate going down to the dunes, and straight to the beach which our dogs loved. We didn’t use the studio at the side of the property, as there was only the two of us. This was our first visit to the Norfolk area, and it did not disappoint. We found it to be very dog friendly and people friendly to, which was fab, one of the best holidays that we’ve been to. Plus the weather was kind to us, so all in all fantastic week.
