The cottage was situated adjacent to the Village Shop/Post Office and Fish and Chip Shop. The home was comfortable and clean. Winterton is great place to unwind and has easy access to the beach and is a great base to explore other places in Norfolk and Suffolk. The welcome pack was very welcome.

We spent a lovely week at Rose cottage and were lucky.to have perfect weather. The cottage was clean and well equipped perfect for our needs. The local tea room was opposite as was the post office. A small general store is right on the doorstep and a lovely pub is minutes away. The village is very dog friendly in fact one evening there were more dogs in the pub than people. The lovely dog friendly beach is 5 mins walk away with a cafe that serves lovely cakes. I would recommend Rose cottage and Winterton itself for a lovely peaceful break.

The cottage is centrally located in the village, convenient for the post office, cafe and chip shop just across the road. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our week stay. Located in the most beautiful village and only 5 minutes walk from the beach. We would recommend and would stay again.

Lovely cottage, brilliant location, very private.everything you needed was there, it catered for everyone, felt very homely. Would definitely recommend staying here.

I've been visiting Winterton for over 50 years on and off, and have stayed in a few cottages over recent years. Rose cottage is in a perfect location, was clean, spacious, bright and well equipped and full of character. We loved our stay and I'm sure we'll return to Rose cottage in the future.
If I had one issue, it was the size of the dinner plates being a little small, although this is due more to the huge portions you get from the highly recommended Winterton fish and chip shop than a fault with the plates themselves :)
All in all a great property in a fantastic location, thank you.

We had a wonderful stay in this comfortable home-away-from-home. The cottage and facilities were beautifully presented and very clean. The wine, biscuits and doggy treat were a fab surprise, thank you! Everything we needed was supplied (although no condiments are supplied/left by previous guests, so always take your own!)
It is ideally situated on the road leading to the beach and is a short walk to a great, dog-friendly pub and other amenities. We enjoyed some great walks towards Horsey to see the seals and quiet strolls through the peaceful village itself.

Lovely cottage in the heart of Winterton on sea. Perfect for coffee and cake or a full English at Poppys cafe or walking our Poppy on the beach and sand dunes. Just perfect!

We stayed at the Rose Cottage during Christmas and we really enjoyed our time. The place was tastefully decorated with Christmas decorations, that made our stay even more pleasant. The fire place on a winter evenings was delightful. Location is superb. We were visiting with our dog and it only took us 5 min to walk to the beach to admire the dunes and hundreds of seals on the sandy beach. The cottage had all the amenities needed to make our self catering stay easy. Remember to bring all teas, coffee, salt etc. with you, as it is not provided (we were aware of that, so came prepared and it was no issue). The coffee shop is so close and serving delicious breakfasts. Pub and convenience store also 2min walk away. Overall great little place, we would love to come back to in the future.

Love this cottage right in the centre of the village. A perfect size for 2. Tastefully decorated, cosy and warm. We had a lovely 3 nights in Winterton and enjoyed the last bit of seal spotting for this year.
I will definitely come back to Rose Cottage.

We stayed 4 nights in Rose Cottage in mid December. The cottage is perfectly located right in the centre of the village, straight opposite Poppy's Tearoom. The decor is lovely and traditional and the bedrooms had top quality bedding, for really really comfy sleeps. The floors are tiled downstairs which was good for our dogs. The only drawback in the outside space was no proper secure garden for the dogs so they could only go out there on leads. It didn't matter to us as we just enjoyed many walks. It was seal pupping time whilst we were there which is an incredible spectacle I would encourage everyone to see. I am returning to Rose Cottage for New Year, so it's a hit with me.

Loved our stay at Rose Cottage. As I said to Adam, it is up there with one of my all time favourites (and I've stayed in many). So many plus points: location (being the no 1), layout of cottage (comfortable, pleasing decor, surprisingly large), log burner (albeit we had very good weather so I'll have to make full use of that next time). I've been frequenting Poppy's Tea Room for years, so enjoyed being able to just pop across the road for my indulgent Deluxe Hot Chocolate (it's sinful!). The fish and chip shop has improved tenfold with the new owners. Ended up getting F&C from there 2 nights in a row. Would have no hesitation staying in this lovely little cottage again.

This was our 2nd time at Rose Cottage. Very spacious and comfortable with very efficient heating. Ideal position at a short walk from the beach, Poppy's tearoom and Post Office opposite and a few steps from that the chip shop. Excellent pub not far. Plenty of walks, try the one to the church ruins in the woods at East Sommerton. Plenty of places to go locally and only a short drive away. Small dog was also very happy here.

Beautiful roomy 2 bed cottage 5 minutes walk from the beach. The open fire was an added bonus we did not expect to use being end of June but we did after a lovely Sunday roast sourced locally. Winterton is a beautiful place and everyone is so friendly and kind, a rare quality in modern times. We will be back again for sure.

We know the village well and this was some of the best accommodation we’ve stayed in. Great location, house was perfect, spotless and airy. Always good to have parking in the village and outdoor space was secure and great for dogs (they enjoyed sticking nose through gate to get pats)! A lovely house and clearly well looked after. Beautiful, we’ll definitely be staying again.

Rose Cottage was perfect for a short break. Great location, clean, dog friendly and with everything we needed. The Prosecco and biscuits on arrival were a lovely little treat! This was our 3rd trip to Winterton and will certainly not be our last.

My children and I booked Rose cottage for my husbands 50th birthday weekend. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the cottage and saw a very kind welcome gift waiting for us in the kitchen. The cottage was impeccably clean and felt very homely. The kitchen had all the amenities you’d need and the place was furnished well. My husband loved his birthday surprise and my children and dog were happy too. It’s so nice that everywhere in the village is dog friendly.
We loved Winterton on sea and the local beach was beautiful. We would definitely like to return to stay in Rose cottage next year.
