This was our third stay in Winterton-on-Sea and this cottage was by far the best. Very comfortable beds, very clean, lovely showers and bathrooms.

My wife and my elderly parents had a wonderful stay at Bulmer Cottage. Winterton is a delight, especially the beach, as are the surrounding environs. This was something of a family pilgrimage as our ancestors used to live in Bulmer Cottage from soon after it was built in the 19th century until the late 1930s. We have family photos of the house as it was then, great great grandparents, great grandparents, grandparents, aunts etc., so it was wonderful to be able to stay where they used to live. Of course the house has been extended in more recent times, but the extension is entirely in keeping with the now older part of the house and compliments it very well. The house is fully equipped, so you won't be missing anything in the kitchen. Nice area to the back of the house to sit in and enjoy company too. A splendid visit, and we very much hope to return again soon. !

We had a wonderful time at Bulmer Cottage . Pleasant location close to the beach . The cottage is extremely comfortable with a very eclectic feel yet very true to its origins . Immaculately decorated and spotlessly clean with easy access to restaurants, pubs and fabulous beaches especially Horsey Gap where we were able to spend time observing the very friendly seal population. We would definitely book again and highly recommend it.

A fantastic cottage in a great village, 10 min walk or very short drive to the beach ( which is stunning!) Cottage well equipped, beautifully decorated, very comfy beds, great bathrooms, fluffy towels (!) excellent kitchen, good wifi. Aside from a few cobwebs it was superbly clean! Lovely quiet courtyard garden, although we were very conscious of how close the neighbours are in terms of us sitting out and chatting in the evening. The interconnecting bedrooms were fine as they both have alternative access from each other but the front bedroom has very steep and tight stairs - might be an issue for some people but was fine for us. The cottage is on a through road but tbh this didn’t really affect us as it’s quiet at night, but just to be aware that there is vehicular noise during the day. The welcome gifts were much appreciated , as was the cleaning kit in the kitchen. This is a really great cottage and we are already planning on next years visit!

A lovely quirky property with ample off road parking. All necessities provided in the beautiful kitchen/ diner. One narrow staircase could be an issue for people with mobility issues, but it is the original staircase to the property. The bathroom on the first floor has a lovely clawfoot bath which is a treat after a day on the beach. Having booked 10 in advance I sure the property will become sought after and many return stays.

Blumer cottage was everything it claimed to be. Really comfortable, spotlessly clean and perfectly placed to explore Winterton. A short walk from the pub, the dunes and amenities. Sharon was a responsive host, gave clear instructions for check in and out. We really enjoyed our stay and will be booking again.

This is our third stay in Winterton and once again it did not disappoint. Bulmer cottage is ideally placed - 10 minute walk to the dunes and beach and a pub, shop, fish and chip shop and tearoom on the way! The cottage provided everything we needed so we were able to cook several meals. The sun is in the courtyard garden in the morning and floods into the lounge in the afternoon. Beds were comfortable and the shower in the bathroom was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Winterton in such a lovely cottage.

Bulmer Cottage is a lovely, quirky cottage a ten minute saunter from the beach. Immediate wow factor for parents and kids alike, clearly designed for beach goers with wet room and spacious tiled atrium immediately adjacent to front door. Cleaned to a very high standard (not easy with all that interior cobble, I’d imagine). Comfortable beds, everyone slept well. Beautiful bathroom as well as wet room. Nice sitting space outside with pretty lighting for evenings. The view of Great Yarmouth’s regular firework display down the coast was an unexpected bonus. The seals at Horsey were a highlight and it was handy for Bewilderwood too…. Oh, and thanks for the beverages and snacks on arrival. Much appreciated…. I don’t think I’ve missed anything. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again. Thanks to the owners, managers and cleaners. 😊

Our stay at Winterton Cottage was lovely. Really enjoyed the area, very close to the beach, and a great local pub roughly a 4 minute walk away. We would 100% recommend this home to anyone!

We loved the cottage. It was beautifully decorated and fitted out. The beds were very comfortable and the showers great. Winterton was a lovely place to base ourselves, very quiet, but with a stunning beach and dunes, completely dog friendly, within walking distance. Great pub with lovely food within a few minutes stroll, very friendly staff and the food was delicious. We will definitely return.

Booked as a last minute short break over the Easter hols for our family and grandparents came along too. Having two bathrooms was a real plus, and there was ample parking for two cars on the drive. Weather wasn't great but we found lots to do in Yarmouth including ten pin bowling and cinema. The local Fisherman's Return pub is a real find and we can definitely recommend the fish & chips! Thanks for a great stay.

We had a great weekend at Bulmer Cottage with our two dogs - really enjoyed being walking distance from the beach, local pub and everything else in the village. There really was no need to use the car after we'd arrived and unpacked. Fantastic decor. The owners have obviously put a lot of thought into the cottage. Will be back!
