286 Sundowner is a stunning three bedroom chalet on the Sundowner Holiday park in the seaside village of Newport, Hemsby. It's located in a quiet area, yet walking distance to the beach, amusements, shops and cafes.

Absolutely everything in this property has been renovated and redecorated to a high standard. In the living area you'll find comfortable reclining sofas, a TV, electric fire and a dining table with seating for four. The modern kitchen area has an electric cooker, fridge with ice box, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is a launderette nearby.

There are three comfortable bedrooms which are all unique and beautifully furnished: two with standard double beds, and one with two 3' single beds. One of the double bedrooms has a TV. The modern bathroom has been completely renovated with a walk in shower, washbasin and WC. The chalet has electric heaters and electricity is included. There is also free wifi for guests to use. Bed linen is supplied, but towels are not.

In front of the chalet there's a cosy seating area, and parking beside the chalet. One well behaved dog is welcome at no additional charge. An EV charger is available to use on the Sundowner site.

Location

Sundowner Holiday Park is the perfect location for a seaside holiday. The park is independently owned, and ideally placed to explore both the coast and the nearby Norfolk Broads. Just 20 minutes walk away you’ll find Hemsby Beach with amusements, shops and cafes.

In the nearby village of Winterton-on-Sea the local Fisherman’s Return pub (dog friendly) serves good food. There’s an excellent choice of walks right from the doorstep, and Winterton Dunes between Winterton and Hemsby is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

The Norfolk Broads offers scenic boat trips or hire your own boat for the day. There’s also fishing, kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding available.

For families, the seaside town of Gt Yarmouth is only a 10 minute drive away, with a sandy beach, end of pier entertainment, Sea Life centre, amusement arcades, pleasure beach, bowling, cinemas, Venetian Waterways, crazy golf and much more. There’s a great choice of places to eat out locally including beachside cafes, local pubs and fine dining restaurants.

Barry and Michelle were wonderful hosts and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The chalet exceeeded our expectation as was just perfect from the cleaniness to the location. If you are looking for a high standard, peaceful getaway this is the place. Plenty of amenties within walkig distance to the site and Hembsy town was only 10 mins walk along the coastal path. We will defintely be back in the future 10/10.

The chalet was exactly as the photos showed. It has been beautifully refurbished and is a really nice place to relax and unwind. The beds are comfortable and the shower is powerful (great after long walks). The owners are very nice and helpful and you can see how they take pride in their chalet by how they look after and present the place. Hemsby beach is walkable from the chalet but the area is best explored if you have a car. Definitely recommended and we would stay again if we came back to the area in the future.

The chalet was lovely it was very clean and very nicely decorated, with all you needed while staying away from home. It was like home from home. It was close to the amenities and not to far from the beach. With the accommodation we had it made our holiday really enjoyable.

We recently stayed in 286 on sundowner, and WOW what a beautiful well decorated and very comfortable place to be, it’s was like home from home, the hosts Michelle and Barry were there to greet us and they are the loveliest couple 😊 nothing was too much, we felt so welcome and had the best week getting to know the little community around us! I would 100% recommend a stay here you won’t be disappointed, that’s if you don’t mind booking around us 😂 as we’ll definitely be back! ⭐⭐️⭐️ x

We had the pleasure of staying at 286 recently, what a beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and perfectly maintained property, and a credit to Michelle and Barry who were the perfect hosts. An ideal base for the fun of Hemsby and Norfolk for our family, we'll definitely be returning!!

The chalet has been recently refurbished by the owners, Michelle and Barry, who were there to meet and greet when we arrived - a nice touch! Everything was new, clean, working and convenient. The chalet gives pretty easy access to surrounding activities such as boat trips on the Broads and steam engine rides as well as access to Norwich. There are a number of good eating places near by. The people in the nearby chalets were friendly and happy to offer advice when asked. I mentioned to Michelle as we were leaving that a dish rack on the drainer would have been good but forgot to mention that bins in each of the rooms would have saved having to use the bin in the kitchen all the time. Other than these niggle's we were very happy with the quality of the accommodation - and the owners!

This 3 bedroom chalet was beautiful, comfortable, spacious, clean, and very tastefully decorated/furnished. We had a lovely stay and would definitely return. Michelle and Barry were very welcoming. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
