At the front of the cottage is a small enclosed seating area which is perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks. The front door leads into an open plan living/dining area with two comfortable sofas, a smart TV and a log burner effect electric fire. The extendable dining table has four chairs.

The compact but well equipped kitchen has everything you could need for your holiday: an electric oven, hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Through the kitchen you'll find a modern bathroom with walk in shower, washbasin and WC.

Upstairs there are two beautiful bedrooms. One with a kingsize bed, and the other with 3' wide bunkbeds. The bunkbeds are better suitable to one adult and one child or two children. There's also an upstairs WC and washbasin off the landing. The cottage is heated throughout with electric heating.

  • We stayed in this lovely cottage for 5 days, it was a delight. The owner had thought of everything! Despite the weather it was cosy & warm. Had a relaxing time & shall return.

  • Have just returned from a 4 night stay in this lovely, clean comfy cottage. In a great location and just minutes walk from the dunes, a great pub and the lovely tea rooms. Would recommend.

  • We had a lovely stay in 2 Old Chapel Cottages. Everything was immaculately presented. The bed was very comfortable with good pillows and duvet. We enjoyed warm cosy November evenings in the lounge/dining room with its comfortable sofas and ‘soft lighting’ side lamps. The kitchen was well equipped. Everything had been thought of. We liked the idea of having an extra fridge/freezer in the outside room. We only used the back entrance to the cottage as it was useful for leaving boots and footwear. This is our sixth Winterton Cottage stay and each cottage has an equally high standard of cleanliness and comfort. We love this end of the village. It is very peaceful and a short walk to the dunes for wonderful walks and, of course, beautiful Winterton Beach. You also have the pub, fish and chip shop, Poppy’s Tea Room/shop/post office/newsagent, the corner convenience store and the beautiful church all within walking distance. This is our sixth Winterton Cottage break and each cottage is of an equally high standard. Thank you to the owners, Linda and Gerry, for a perfect stay and for the thoughtful extra touches.

  • We loved our first trip to Winterton-on-Sea, and it won't be our last! The cottage was perfect for our family of 4, with everything needed to prepare simple meals and plenty of space to play board games and drink hot chocolate (we loved the games table!) after a tiring day on the beach!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage and it was great that we could take our dog. It is very cosy, spotlessly clean, well thought out and has everything you could need to enjoy your stay. The welcome pack was really appreciated. A five-minute walk to the wonderful beach and an easy to walk all the amenities in the village. Winterton is a lovely relaxing place and ideal for a break to get away from it all. Highly recommended.

  • Great place. Very comfy. I arrived in the dark so took a while to work our which cottage but hosts came along and helped me get in. Loved having a late check-out. It's lovely location and went to Horsey for the seals so a good base for a winter break from the coast.

  • Cottage is done out beautifully. Everything you need for a holiday.. lovely touch box of biscuits, coffee tea, hot chocolate etc left in the kitchen too. Plenty of storage and hangers in bedrooms. Added bonus a toilet upstairs which is so unusual in these cottages. Very quiet location in a cul de sac. Winterton is a wonderful village to visit. So much to see on the Norfolk coast.

  • We had a really lovely stay at No.2 Old Chapel Cottage. Everything you could need to hand, and so close to the beach. Just a short walk over the dunes at the back. Can highly recommend :)

  • Charming cottage, immaculate and well equipped. Enjoyed small front garden to sit out in as weather was hot and handy for dogs to have outdoor area fenced too. Restful colour scheme throughout and not overfilled with seaside-themed ornaments! Really perfect retreat.

  • Fab house, home from home. Great holiday and location, top notch hosts!

    — Karl and Wendy, 02 Jul 2022
  • Lovely quaint little cottage right in the heart of the village. Everything is within walking distance so no need to drive. On road parking just outside. Very small front yard area which is still big enough to sit in whilst enjoying a G & T. Small kitchen but manageable. Location is perfect. Lovely short stay.

  • Lovely to be here again, and this time for the Platinum Jubilee. We had an excellent stay. The house is the best and we loved the beach! We went out for dinner and got to see a piper and beacon get lit. It was amazing!
