Property Details

Tucked away down a quiet lane in the heart of the village, Sunnyville is a pretty semi-detached cottage which is suitable for a maximum of two guests. It's less than five minutes walk from the beach and Dunes cafe, and even closer to the local pub, fish & chip shop, post office and well stocked village store.

Downstairs the large living room overlooks the back garden and has comfortable sofas for relaxing, a small dining table with two chairs, a flatscreen wall mounted TV and a multi-fuel burning stove. The kitchen is at the back of the cottage and has an electric hob, a small combination/microwave oven, a fridge with a small freezer compartment and a washer drier. The downstairs bathroom with WC and wash basin is off the lobby between the kitchen and the living room and there is a separate shower in the lobby area hidden behind louvre doors.

Steep stairs lead up from the living room straight into the main bedroom which has a king size double bed. There is a second bedroom which leads off the first one, and has a comfortable 4' wide bed to give the option of separate rooms for two people.

Outside, the south facing back garden is fully enclosed with garden furniture on the sunny patio. The cottage is equipped with free WiFi for guests. There is no parking directly next to the cottage (although guests can pull up outside to unload), but there is free parking 2-3 minutes walk away in the village. One large or two small/medium dogs are welcome at Sunnyville Cottage for a small charge of £15 per dog.

  • Had a great week in Sunnyville Cottage, so close to all the amenities in Winterton village. Would recommend the Tea room at Poppy’s which is literally next door. Weather was good most of the time during our stay and find the local people very friendly!

  • Stayed for a week this August. Beautiful cottage and very relaxing suntrap of a garden! Everything nice and clean and nice little welcome pack. Winterton-on-Sea is a lovely village, everyone is super friendly and the miles of wonderful beach are like heaven for our 2 dogs. Booking with wintertoncottages very easy and very helpful and prompt with all the info you need. Definitely be visiting again.

  • Me, my twelve year old daughter and our greyhound had a wonderful time at Sunnyville Cottage in August 2019. As a single mum the cottage is a perfect base as it is so close to the beach and only a twenty minute drive to Great Yarmouth. The village is very dog friendly which was ideal.

  • We had a delightful week with our small spaniel at the cottage which is elegant and comfortable. It was lovely to be within easy walking distance of the beach, post office mini-supermarket, fish and chip shop, and of course the Fishermans Return which is one of our favourite pubs for food and drink. The garden was a bonus, sitting out in the sunshine in the early evening, and the sofa and both beds were quite luxurious. We would love to come back again.

  • Very enjoyable stay apart from the weather. The cottage we found very tastefully furnished and would recommend it to any one who wants a quiet holiday with their dog.

  • Had a lovely stay and enjoyed the unexpected welcome pack. Cottage was in very good condition and big enough for the two of us plus two small dogs with room to spare. The garden in the afternoon was superb, coming back from a long walk and lounging in the sunny and very quiet garden was wonderful.

  • We have just returned from a weeks stay in this lovely cottage. So much attention paid to detail. Treats for the dogs, wine and coffee for me (and my husband). Quality bedding and towels. Most comfortable bed ever. The walks were amazing and seals in the sea. I cannot fault this cottage at all.

  • We had a fabulous weeks stay in Sunnyville Cottage in February. It was cosy and immaculately presented throughout with many little extras - perfect for relaxing and re energising tired muscles! Winterton is a very special and friendly village, a stones throw from the beautiful beach and dunes. We struck lucky with the weather as glorious and also managed to see the seals at Horsey too. Fishermens Return is great for food as is the local fish and chip shop. A great little gem and perfect retreat.

  • Fabulous cottage only minutes to the beach. Very comfortable and well equipped. Great log burner & the basket of complimentary logs was appreciated. Top quality bedding felt quite luxurious. Nice secure garden for our 2 pooches. The welcome gifts were a very kind gesture. Only a stones throw from a great pub/restaurant. Definitely recommend this fab cottage. Thank you for our lovely time.

  • Had a wonderful stay over valentines day and could not recommend highly enough. We were lucky to have some great weather which made the weekend even better. The walk to Horsey along the beach and coastal path was beautiful and a great plus that we got to see the seals on the beach! Only 2 minutes from the beach, 1 minute from a great pub with some lovely villages all within close proximity. Even though it was warm in the day, the fire (with complimentary kindling and logs) was a great place to spend out evenings playing games and watching the TV. Overall a lovely stay and would definitely recommend! Our two dogs loved it more than we did I think!

The cottage is just a stones throw away from the beach and the local shops (all 1 of them ☺️) We would recommend the local pub, fish and chip shop and the Dunes Cafe. We really would love to visit again soon.
