Property Details

Sea Star is a spacious New England style beach house overlooking Winterton Valley. With panoramic sea views and easy access to a sandy beach, it's the perfect place to unwind and relax in a charming coastal environment. The house offers a warm welcome and is perfect for a group of 8-10 family or friends looking to escape and relax by the sea. From Sea Star it's an easy 10 minute walk to the centre of the village with the Fisherman's Return pub, Post Office, village shop and fish & chip shop.

Downstairs is very much open plan to take advantage of the amazing sea views. The living room has comfortable leather sofas providing seating for 8, and a wood burning stove, and patio doors lead to the patio and back garden. There's a TV and the wireless music system can be synced to your phone or ipod. The dining area has a large table which can seat up to 8 people, and the well equipped kitchen includes an induction hob, cooker, full size dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. Leading off the kitchen is a spacious bathroom with a walk in shower, and a washing machine and tumble drier.

The fourth bedroom is located downstairs at the front of the house and has a king size double bed. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms all decorated in a charming coastal style. The family bathroom is also upstairs and has a bath with a shower over it. The master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed, and panoramic sea views. The modern ensuite has a walk in shower, wash basin and WC. Bedroom two also has a king size bed and is at the front of the house. Bedroom three can sleep up to four people and has two single beds, and a bunk bed decked out with bunting - great fun for kids!

To the rear of the house is a paved patio area with an outdoor dining table, deck chairs and sunloungers. A gas barbecue is provided for guests. The gravel coastal garden has superb views across Winterton valley and out to sea. (Please note there is no grass area at the house - but Winterton valley is literally right below the house.) A wooden row boat in the garden offers a great opportunity for kids to play pirates, and beach equipment including folding chairs is provided for trips to the beach.

There is plentiful off road parking for up to four cars at the house, and the garden is fully enclosed. Up to two dogs are welcome at Sea Star, and there is unlimited free wi-fi for guests.

  • Another brilliant week at Sea Star with our friends and 2 German Shepherds. Lovely walks on the dunes and beach. Easy walk into the village where there is a shop and tea room. Accommodation clean and spacious, views wonderful, very relaxing. Thank you Sally Frank Kay David, Teddy Bear and ZeeZee

  • Thank you for such a lovely stay! Sea star was beautiful and fully equipped with everything you need. It’s a stones throw away from the beach also so it’s not too far for a hot shower after a cold swim in the sea :) we would love to return soon.

  • Another wonderful week in Sea Star. Must be about our 7th visit and each time you leave you feel refreshed and energised, which at the moment in our lives is priceless. The peace and quiet where you can relax in spacious surroundings makes you relax and you forget what is happening in the outside world. Proximity to a wonderful sandy beach with miles of walking is the other great attraction. Winterton is also a delightful small village. Each time we visit and as we leave, we say that we will be back as the accommodation is so good. It has all you need and all rooms are spacious. We will be back!

  • Had a wonderful stay at Sea Star, we were very lucky with the weather so made good use of the garden area. Great walks on the dunes and beach, our two German Shepherds had a thoroughly good time. Quite an easy walk into the village to the local pub and tea room. Would recommend

  • We had an amazing week here 6-10 Sept 21. 3 very happy dogs and 2 very contented adults! We worked from here too which made for a lovely office view. Just a word of warning though that the WiFi isn’t that strong and phone signal is poor except at the end of the garden so may not be suitable for some period people.
The view is amazing and the house is gorgeous and very spacious too. We will definitely be coming back next year to this perfect peaceful location x

  • Had an amazing may half term stay at Sea Star! This property is fantastic, has everything you can possibly want + being truly dog friendly! Super comfy king beds, walk in showers, super spacious open plan downstairs. Our stay was 2 adults, 1 child, 2 dogs. The sea views and tranquility from the garden is gorgeous. Short walk from the garden across the dunes to the beautiful sandy beach (with pebbles at the shore), 15 mins drive to various towns on the Norfolk Broads. Winterton has a pub, nearby Martham and Hemsby have well stocked co- ops. Will definitely be booking Sea Star again cannot wait 😊😊😊

  • Another wonderful and peaceful week in Sea Star. Excellent accommodation, wonderful views of beach and sea from lounge bedroom and shower! Spacious rooms with quality furnishings. Good Co-op in Hemsby and good pub in Horsey with excellent food. Nothing to dislike, and all to like particularly walking on beach. Will return next year.

  • We stayed at Sea Star in October and had a lovely holiday. The house is really homely and spacious. It was so lovely looking across the dunes and out to sea even on the wet days. The access to the beach was great. The dogs loved it with so many other dog walkers, everyone is so friendly. The pub The Fisherman’s Return also takes dogs and the food is lovely. Every time we visit Winterton-On-Sea we find it harder and harder to leave. We will definitely be back and book SeaStar.

  • We had a wonderful family holiday at Sea Star. 8 adults, 1 toddler and 2 babies. Plenty of space for us all and lovely garden to sit in and admire the view. So easy to wander to the beach. Everything we could have wanted. Will definitely be back again.

  • A few friends and I stayed at Sea Star in September and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. Having such direct access to the dunes and the beach was just fabulous for walking, especially with my dog. The view from the house is to die for. We were also close enough to walk into the village whenever needed. We'll certainly be back.

  • We have stayed at the Sea Star a few times and it is such a peaceful & relaxing house. The view is just amazing and every time our holiday comes to an end I don't want to leave! It has everything you could need and more. The beds are comfortable & the master bedroom has a lovely ensuite but the best part is the view of the sea. You really won't want to go home. We always stay with other family members & you never feel short on space as there is plenty or room. We ate at the Fisherman's Return a couple of times and the food is fab, just go hungry as the portions are huge! All in all yet another great family holiday booked with the lovely Rachel. Highly recommend and we'll be back soon!

  • Have stayed at Sea Star a couple of times and absolutely love it. Not only is the location magnificent, right by the spectacular beach, with incredible views of the sea, but the house itself is lovely. Lots of room and very tastefully designed with great outdoor space too. Will definitely be visiting again.

  • Our 4th visit and Sea Star doesn't disappoint. Well maintained and a wonderful view of dunes and sea from lounge and bedroom. A most relaxing environment. House is very well maintained and well appointed, making life easy. Winterton is most delightful village with excellent Fish shop. You spend your day walking on beach with Dunes Cafe in easy distance for brilliant breakfast. Sea Star is simply a wonderful house to stay in and we will be back. David and Jenny Eldred

  • We stayed in this beautiful cottage with our 3 children and had an amazing holiday. The house had everything we needed and we felt at home though very spoilt! The children enjoyed walking to the beach on the sand dunes which was in literally in the back garden. We will definitely go back again and recommend it to friends and family.

  • Perfect location with great sea views. The beach outside the house is dog friendly and the little cafe at the end is absolutely perfect for reading a book and relaxing. The house is well equipped and beautifully presented with everything you could need. I would definitely recommend this place if you're visiting Norfolk.

  • A very comfortable, deceptively spacious cottage in a lovely position. The outdoor spaces, sea views and close proximity to the beach made it ideal for the three gerations of our family. We were able to enjoy Sea Star at its best, enhanced by balmy late summer weather.

    — Val Rutterford., 12 Oct 2018
  • Had a wonderful long weekend here. The house was amazing and spacious and fabulously decorated. Direct access to the beach with great views. Lovely places to visit ten minutes drive away. Will definitely be staying again

  • Another fabulous week with the family - all 'chilled' ready to face the world again after a week at the Sea Star 'haven'. Looking forward to coming back next year.

  • Really lovely week with friends and family. Comfortable house is a great location with beautiful views. Sunny weather made it even more special and everyone loved the time spent on the beach (including Maisie the goldendoodle)! Made lots of memories - thank you!
