Property Details

Sea Star is a spacious New England style beach house overlooking Winterton Valley. With panoramic sea views and easy access to a sandy beach, it's the perfect place to unwind and relax in a charming coastal environment. The house offers a warm welcome and is perfect for a group of 8-10 family or friends looking to escape and relax by the sea. From Sea Star it's an easy 10 minute walk to the centre of the village with the Fisherman's Return pub, Post Office, village shop and fish & chip shop.

Downstairs is very much open plan to take advantage of the amazing sea views. The living room has comfortable leather sofas providing seating for 8, and a wood burning stove, and patio doors lead to the patio and back garden. There's a TV and the wireless music system can be synced to your phone or ipod. The dining area has a large table which can seat up to 8 people, and the well equipped kitchen includes an induction hob, cooker, full size dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and nespresso coffee machine. Leading off the kitchen is a spacious bathroom with a walk in shower, and a washing machine and tumble drier.

The fourth bedroom is located downstairs at the front of the house and has a king size double bed. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms all decorated in a charming coastal style. The family bathroom is also upstairs and has a bath with a shower over it. The master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed, and panoramic sea views. The modern ensuite has a walk in shower, wash basin and WC. Bedroom two also has a king size bed and is at the front of the house. Bedroom three can sleep up to four people and has two single beds, and a bunk bed decked out with bunting - great fun for kids!

To the rear of the house is a paved patio area with an outdoor dining table, deck chairs and sunloungers. A gas barbecue is provided for guests. The gravel coastal garden has superb views across Winterton valley and out to sea. (Please note there is no grass area at the house - but Winterton valley is literally right below the house.) A wooden row boat in the garden offers a great opportunity for kids to play pirates, and beach equipment including folding chairs is provided for trips to the beach.

There is plentiful off road parking for up to four cars at the house, and the garden is fully enclosed. Up to two dogs are welcome for a small charge of £15 per dog, and there is unlimited free wi-fi for guests.

  • A very comfortable, deceptively spacious cottage in a lovely position. The outdoor spaces, sea views and close proximity to the beach made it ideal for the three gerations of our family. We were able to enjoy Sea Star at its best, enhanced by balmy late summer weather.

  • Another fabulous week with the family - all 'chilled' ready to face the world again after a week at the Sea Star 'haven'. Looking forward to coming back next year.

  • Really lovely week with friends and family. Comfortable house is a great location with beautiful views. Sunny weather made it even more special and everyone loved the time spent on the beach (including Maisie the goldendoodle)! Made lots of memories - thank you!

The house is beautiful , very tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The beds are very comfortable and everything was beautifully clean.
