Downstairs, the entrance porch leads into the well equipped kitchen diner which has an electric hob, oven and fridge freezer. There's also an integrated dishwasher and washing machine. The living area has a TV and comfortable seating for up to four people. It overlooks the pretty back garden which is fully enclosed.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms: one has a kingsize double bed, and the other has twin single 2'6" beds which can be converted to a kingsize double bed on request. The modern bathroom has a large walk in shower, wash basin and WC.

Outside there is ample off road parking for two cars and the back garden is private and enclosed. There is free unlimited wifi at The Net House and three dogs are welcome. The cottage is only a five minute walk from the beach, and close to other local walks across the Norfolk countryside.

  • Had four days in Net House. Lovely cottage. Everything you need. Garden a little sun trap. Very handy for walking the dogs. Dunes 1 minute away. Saw quite a few deer down the lane. Owner Rachel very helpful. Will definitely book again.

  • We had a lovely few days break at the Net House. Rachel was excellent at letting us know how things worked, making sure we arrived safely and thanking us when we left. The cottage is in a perfect location, a couple of minutes walk from the dunes which our Springer Bella loved. It is extremely clean, well furnished and has all the amenities required. We will definitely stay here again!

  • We had a most enjoyable few days at the Net House. It had everything we needed and the welcome pack was lovely. The weather was surprisingly good. We enjoyed walking with our two terriers on the Dunes and the beautiful beach. We have been to Winterton several times and would certainly go again.

    — Ray and Mary Carter , 18 Mar 2024
  • A lovely, very well equipped cottage in an ideal location, close to all local amenities and the dunes, which are vast and fabulous for walking the dog. Great communication from the Host (Rachael) for whom nothing was too much trouble. The hamper that greeted us on arrival was full of wonderful goodies and even treats for our dog! We had a great, comfortable and relaxed long weekend and have no hesitation in recommending The Net House to anyone. We will certainly be back!

    — Jeff & Andrea Hunter (+ Peggy the dog), 05 Mar 2024
  • Great little house only a couple of hundred yards from the dunes with off-road parking and a fully enclosed dog-safe back garden. We thought the house was warm, clean, welcoming and comfortable. Good communication from and with Rachel (the owner) and a nice welcome pack when you arrive. Arthur very much appreciated his dog treats. Recommended.

    — Richard cook, 17 Feb 2024
  • A lovely cottage in a great location. Great size lounge, kitchen and bedrooms. The beds were very comfy, the kitchen was well equipped and the sofas were very inviting after long walks over the dunes. We sent a text to Rachel the owner asking if they had a hose to wash our dog after walks and she responded very quickly. If you’re looking for a welcoming cottage in a lovely village you can’t go wrong with The Net House.

    — Mark While, 14 Jan 2024
  • Perfect cottage for the 4 of us for a short stay in Winterton. The cottage was well equipped, modern interior and very clean. Beds were comfy.

    — Thomas Dixon-Ramsey, 06 Dec 2023
  • We’ve just got home after another enjoyable stay at this lovely cottage. The cottage is clean and has everything you need. It’s cosy and comfortable. The owners are on hand for any issues that may arise and always contact you on arrival and departure which is a really lovely personal touch. We have stayed at a few cottages in the village and this is by far our favourite. The location is just amazing for the beach and the village. We will certainly be back.

  • Our second stay in Net House. Excellent location & perfect for our dog with a secure garden. Cottage well equipped and a good supply of logs given the change in weather it was needed. The owner was a good communicator. We already have our third stay booked!

  • Recently stayed at the Net House for a long weekend very comfortable and well furnished, a perfect place to kick back and relax.

    — Stu & Kate, 13 Oct 2023
  • We stayed at The Net House for 10 days and found the house to be very comfortable and felt very at home. Great to have a garden for our dog and to relax after going out for the day. Less than 5 min walk to the dunes then onto the beautiful Winterton beach. Lots of lovely walks through the dunes and to Horsey. Also found some good walks from West Somerton. Short walk to pub and the fish and chip shop - both are good. Communication with Rachel, the owner was excellent, checking we had settled in and all was ok.

    — Rob and Sue, 12 Oct 2023

This time we went down to RSPB Minsmere and up to East Ruston Vicarage Gardens and both locations well worth a visit. Strolls on the beach, plus superb weather. Everyone we met was so friendly, Happy days.. We will return.

  • Thoroughly enjoyable week at the Net house, glorious weather so lots of lovely walks along the fantastic beach at Winterton and through the dunes with our Labrador. Managed to see some seals along the beach. The Net house has everything needed for a very comfortable stay, would highly recommend to anyone thinking about booking.

    — Barry Copley, 11 Sep 2023
  • Our first visit to Winterton-on-sea and The Net House. A lovely charming house with a beautifully kept and safe garden. Dunes, beach, pub everything you need for a relaxing break and no driving! We did not want to leave!

    — Cheryl, 30 Aug 2023
  • We have been to Winterton before but this was our first stay at the Net House. Felt at home and comfortable straight away here (Including our dog Wilson) :) Perfect location for beach and other walks and the owners were very pleasant and interested to know if everything was ok. Will be back!

    — Jason Grange, 29 Aug 2023
  • Our second stay at Net House, and what a glorious sunny warm week we have just experienced with very little rain. The house is just as comfortable and well equipped as before with a lovely welcoming pack which included dog treats which our Tibetan loved. Ideally placed in the village for both beach and dunes which are spectacular. The garden is a sun trap and a welcome retreat after a day including beach walking or along the dunes. Plenty of interesting local places to visit but Winterton is our little bolt hole and a joy to return to. Would highly recommend Net House and the owners make you feel so welcome with a personal touch, we will be returning I’m sure!

    — Pauline and Mark Loadman , 16 Jul 2023
  • Had a great stay at The Net House. Lovely dog friendly cottage in a quiet location in the village. Easy walk to the dunes and the beach and convenient for touring, only minutes from The Broads.

    — Helen and Steve, 18 Jun 2023
  • The location of this house is perfect for long walks along the beach and sand dunes and only a short walk to a dog friendly pub serving great food if you don’t want to drive anywhere, if you are happy to drive there is plenty to do only short car rides away. On arrival we had a lovely welcome pack, which included treats for our dog too (who was very happy!) The house was immaculately clean and had everything you could need for a home from home stay. We will definitely be back and recommending to all our friends. Thank you for a lovely comfy stay.

    — Vicky , 19 May 2023
  • We had a lovely stay in Net House. Great welcome pack & very clean. Unlimited supply of logs was a bonus as weather was chilly. Great enclosed garden for our small pooch. We will be back

    — Tracey & Ian, 30 Apr 2023
  • We had a relaxing weekend in a warm comfortable house in a perfect position for access to the dunes & close to all amenities in the village. Everything is provided to make your stay enjoyable plus a lovely welcome pack. This was our 5th visit to Winterton & we would book this property again, it wasn’t too big for the 2 of us but would still feel spacious with 4 adults. Hopefully we can return in warmer weather & enjoy the garden too.

    — Dave Harry, 22 Mar 2023
  • A lovely six night stay, very warm and cosy and all we needed. A variety of walks straight from the door and a side entrance into the garden to clean dogs off before going into the house. We hope to return.

    — Susan James, 16 Mar 2023
  • The perfect place to stay, we have just returned from our short Christmas break fully relaxed after a superb 5 nights in the Net House. Great position for the beach, clean tidy and we really did not want to leave. Fully recommend the Net House, and we will be definitely be coming back again.

    — Tim Ingham, 03 Jan 2023
  • My 2 spaniels and I have just enjoyed a long weekend at the Net House. What a lovely house, clean, comfortable and well equipped with a secure and private garden and in a great location being minutes from the dunes and beach. The welcome basket was a nice surprise and the owners were in touch should I have need help with anything. Had the best fish and chips from the local chippy. All in all a great introduction to Winterton-on-Sea, a place well worth more than one visit.

    — Bron Edwards, 21 Nov 2022
  • We had a superb week in this delightful cottage. We found it to be quiet, cosy, and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with good quality utensils etc; We cooked several meals at home. The bathroom was warm too and we loved the walk in shower. Location wise, it could not be much better with a 5 minute walk to the glorious beach where we saw seals everyday and the shop and the pub, The Broads are nearby too: We had trips out to Horsey mill, the Nature reserve at Ranworth Broad plus we drove to Great Yarmouth and took the train to Norwich- no parking hassles, and a lovely city. The beaches are wonderful and dog friendly as are many of the pubs and cafes and even Norwich cathedral!, as is the cottage, though sadly we have recently lost our dog, but she would have loved it.. the garden is secure too . Oh the farm shop at Dabs n Crabs is excellent.
We would not hesitate to book again.

    — Linda and Allan Evans, 16 Oct 2022
  • A lovely cottage in a fabulous location literally a couple of minutes walk to the dunes. A really cosy warm cottage which was most comfortable for us and our two dogs. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. The cottage has everything you need and the owners make contact with you in case you need anything which was really helpful. The TV has a fire stick so you can access Netflix, Amazon Prime etc for those days when the weather keeps you indoors. There is a large porch area which is great for putting coats, dog leads etc and a great place to be able to dry off wet dogs and take off wet footwear.

    — Lesley Robinson, 30 Sep 2022
  • We recently stayed at the Net House and what a lovely stay it was too. We have stayed at many cottages in Winterton now and Net House is certainly now top of our list! It is clean, well stocked and extremely comfortable. A lovely little cottage with real character.

    — Kate Trevarthen, 28 Aug 2022
  • We stayed at the Net House recently and it was perfect for our needs, really clean, well equipped, lovely dog proofed garden and terrace with comfortable seating to relax on. The beds were comfortable and plenty of space for our family of four. I can only think of positive things to say!
The village of Winterton on Sea was lovely, a good selection of places to eat and shop all within easy walking distance. The Net House is a few minutes walk to the beach. Plenty to do in the local area, we went to Sea Palling beach, hired bikes (at the bike hire place at Bewilderwood, which supplied a dog trailer) we hired a boat for a meander up the broads, looked round Horsey pump and walked to the beach to see the seals, stopping at the Nelson pub en route which served very nice food. We had a fantastic holiday, I would recommend the Net House, lovely property, friendly village, great location. We hope to stay again.

    — Ruth Brown, 10 Aug 2022
  • We have been staying in Winterton for over twenty years and have stayed at many of the cottages in the village. The Net house is a truly lovely place to stay. The cottage is cosy and comfortable and spotlessly clean. It is in a lovely quiet position with a beautiful terrace garden to relax in with the dogs but at the same time is minutes from the village shops and amenities with dunes and the beach almost on the doorstep which my Goldie absolutely loved ! Thank you for a lovely stay !

  • We have recently returned from a lovely short break staying at the Net House with our two working cocker spaniels. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and had everything you need and the pretty garden was lovely to sit in when the sun was shining. We particularly enjoyed the closeness to the sand dunes and the amazing beach and loved watching the seals on the beach and bobbing around in the sea. We will definitely be back soon.

    — Sharon Miller, 10 Oct 2021
  • Had a lovely September break with glorious sunshine to make our stay in this lovely cottage a delight. We had everything we needed in the cottage, it was very well equipped and such a comfortable king size bed .The garden was a sun trap to sit and enjoy with a glass of wine and a book, and very dog secure. Only a few yards away on foot from the dunes and the seemingly endless beach! Hubby and myself plus two dogs enjoyed miles of walking through the dunes and on the beach and watching seals who seemed to be watching us in return! A lovely welcoming dog friendly pub and village in general. Lovely tea room and fish and chip shop. Such a lovely quiet and unspoilt village , we will definitely be returning

A well equipped house and very comfy. The garden is lovely to sit in and safe for the dogs. We have stayed in Winterton before and love the village. The Fishermans Return is recommended and dog friendly. We will definitely be back.

  • We stayed at The Net House for a week as it was my husband’s birthday on the 9th June. What a beautiful cottage! Everything you need fantastic location (one of the best) for the dunes so cosy and comfortable, we are going back in August. I thoroughly recommend this cottage the service from the owners and the service from Winterton Cottages. Thank you!

    — Jayne Hegley, 27 Jun 2021
  • We have just returned from a great week staying at Net House ideally positioned down a quiet lane and so close to the dunes and beach.
The house is equipped with everything you need and has a cosy welcoming feel, the beds are really comfortable which is great after a long day walking. The garden is very pretty and fully enclosed for the dogs, we spent a few relaxing times sitting out there enjoying a few drinks.
Winterton is a great village with plenty of amenities including pub, fish & chip shop, cafe, shop, post office. We will definitely be returning.

    — Lorraine, Colin & Molly (cocker spaniel), 19 Jun 2021
  • My friend and I had a lovely weekend at the The Net House with our dogs. The house is in a great location in the village minutes from the dunes for dog walking! We sat in the pretty garden enjoying the sunshine. It is beautifully clean and welcoming with a great kitchen for eating in and a cosy sitting room. The lobby is perfect for leaving boots and dog stuff! Big bedrooms and comfy beds. Everything you could ask for!
Hoping to return next spring when the pubs open!

    — jacqui parry-evans, 04 May 2021
  • Our stay at The Net House was an absolute delight. The house is situated in one of the quietest roads in Winterton with a 300m walk to the Dunes. The entrance to the house has a spacious lobby with tiled flooring, perfect for sorting out the dogs before entering the kitchen and plenty of space for coats, boots and shoes with a small unit for keys, leads and any other dog associated paraphernalia. The kitchen/dining room is spacious and airy with all the equipment you need, the sitting room is very comfortable and cosy.
The garden is an absolute delight, well looked after and very pretty but the best bit is the fact that it’s a suntrap. We were able to sit in the garden for coffee and lunch even though there was a stiff north wind blowing from the north. There’s an outside hose for dirty dogs, thank goodness.
The bedrooms are very stylishly decorated, everything looks new and spotlessly clean. The house is beautiful and, without doubt, we will stay there again…..if we can get a booking.

    — Penny and David Cording, 23 Apr 2021
  • Whilst we have stopped in Winterton many times, it was our first stay at The Net House. The house is in an excellent position in the village, down a quiet lane, close to village amenities, on the edge of the Dunes and a only short walk to the beach. Despite it being very wet we had a warm, cosy and comfortable long weekend here. It has been tastefully presented, with all necessities provided for our convenience.Throughout everything was very clean. In particular the bed provided a good nights sleep and the new shower had pressure and was hot. It has a lovely enclosed garden which was important for our dog. We thoroughly recommend The Net House, and will be returning!

    — Paul Grantham, 09 Oct 2020
  • We have just Stayed in a wonderful cottage, The Net House. It was stylish, comfortable and had everything we needed including a lovely little garden. It is a very short walk to the beach that is beautiful. It has a very good beachfront cafe that serves delicious food. There’s a lovely fish and chip shop that was so delicious we had it twice. We didn’t get a chance to use the tea room but it looks nice. There’s also a very useful corner shop. We have had such a lovely weekend that have come home and booked it again.

    — Julie Jackson, 14 Sep 2020
  • My husband, Spaniel Dexter and I have just returned from a long weekend staying in The Net House. We were so pleased to have found the house - it's beautifully decorated with everything we needed and a lovely secure garden for our dog. It is very peaceful where it is situated and perfect for direct access to the heath, dunes and village as well as a lovely circular walk of about 4 miles starting at Net House, down Low Road and taking in the ruins of St Mary's church. We absolutely love visiting Winterton-on-Sea and by far, Net House is the best rental we have stayed in and we look forward to staying here again soon!

    — Gill Stevens, 08 Sep 2020
  • My family and I, 2 children aged 6 & 9 had a wonderful week in Net House in August. The house is a home from home with plenty of space indoors and a lovely relaxing back garden. The house is perfectly located in the village, this is our 3rd visit to Winterton with both countryside and beach walks a plenty. The fish n chip shop is well worth a visit and with the pub, local shop and post office all amenities are on hand. Highly recommend a holiday in Net House in the beautiful seaside village of Winterton.

    — Dave Miller, 03 Sep 2020
  • We had the most lovely stay at The Net House. Everything was spotlessly clean and all the furnishings were very comfortable. The bed had nice cotton bedding and comfy mattress and pillows. Overall, the cottage has a lovely ambience. The Net House is in a very peaceful location just a two minute walk to the beautiful dunes and a six minute walk across the dunes to the beach. There are also lots of good local walks. It is in a perfect location for a peaceful break not far from not only the beach but a pub, fish and chip shop, Dunes cafe, post office and corner shop. As well as beaches, you have The Broads for nice pubs and day boat hire. All in all, we had a wonderful ‘home from home’ stay at The Net House, thank you.
