  • Had a great week at Cobbles End. Bungalow very comfortable and well equipped. We found it to be very clean and well presented. Location was perfect, easy walk to the sea and dunes, but tucked away in a very quiet cul de sac. Would definitely like to go again.

  • The bungalow is a well presented, spotlessly clean place to spend a holiday. It is in a great location within the village with easy access to everything. Unfortunately due to the time of year we didn’t have the opportunity to enjoy the garden. We’ve stayed in seven different properties from Winterton Cottages & they have all been excellent places to stay for short or long breaks, we would definitely re-book Cobbles End if available.

  • Our third stay at Cobbles End. Very comfortable and well equipped property in a wonderful location five minutes from beach with miles of walking along the Norfolk coast path.

  • Just returned from a week with our fur babies and Cobbles End was fab! From the welcome gift to the proximity of the dunes, it couldn’t be more perfect. We come to Winterton every year for a doggy holiday and they just loved it! Thank you!

  • Just returned from a very relaxed and enjoyable two week break in Winterton on sea. We stayed at Cobbles End which is a really nice bungalow in a quiet residential area and just around the corner from the shop , chip shop , poppy's cafe and the very dog friendly pub. Cobbles end is a lovely bungalow, beautifully furnished and decorated and very comfortable, it also has a very attractive and safe back garden for our doggie. When we arrived at Cobbles end it was spotlessly clean and sparkling. The beach is stunning , very clean and of course very dog friendly ! Our girl loved the beach and swimming in the sea on her own and with me, she made lots of new doggie Friends. We didn't travel out of Winterton as we just wanted to relax and chill out , being so close to everything in Winterton including the beach was great , as they say , Location Location Location! We are back in Winterton late July staying at another property but we wish we had waited before booking as we would definitely booked cobbles End. Thank you to Tracy the owner and Sandy the lady who looks after the property for getting a new bin delivered so quickly.

  • We enjoyed our stay at Cobbles End. The spacious bungalow was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The gardens were attractive and well maintained and secure for our little dog Lily. Ideally situated in the very pretty village of Winterton on Sea with the pub, fish and chip shop, general store, post office, tea room, lovely sandy beach all within a short walk away. There is a bus stop just around the corner taking you to Yarmouth race course or further to Lowestoft if you fancy a day without driving. The icing on the cake was the fine sunny weather we had.

  • Comfortable bungalow with a lovely garden in a quiet location. Very well placed for the beach and the Fisherman’s Return. Nice surrounding countryside and plenty of nice places to visit.

    — Rita Lenko, 17 May 2023
  • This was our second stay at Cobbles End a wonderful place to stay, very cosy and well equipped in a quiet location and secure garden. The welcome basket was a wonderful treat. We are already planning a return trip, Winterton on Sea is a very relaxing location and Cobbles End the perfect accommodation

    — Nicky, 06 Apr 2023
  • We stayed at Cobbles End 20th Jan for a week and it was an absolute delight, Cobbles End is very well equipped and with the log burner a real home from home! On the downside there was no bath sheets, just towels, but that's our personal preference. The location is perfect and as previously mentioned the neighbours were friendly the lovely garden was dog safe for our two. Winterton is our idea of heaven the people are lovely, helpful and always up for a chat (but please don’t let anyone else know about this gem of a place!)

    — Lorraine Day, 29 Jan 2023
  • A wonderful stay at Cobbles End. It is so cosy and comfortable. Everything we needed was there. The welcome pack was a treat for us all, thank you. The garden was perfect for our dog. The neighbours friendly, very quiet neighbourhood. Poppies tearoom and shop is a delight. The convenience store is also terrific. Gorgeous to be such a short walk to the dunes and beach. We were lucky to be there to see the start of the seal pups being born. Well worth a hike along the dunes between Winterton and Horsey to see them. Loved every minute. Would go back again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Winterton Cottages x

  • Have thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful few days at Cobbles End, Winterton on Sea. Very nice accommodation with secure garden and very quiet. Some lovely coastal walks within 5 minutes and Fishermans Retreat round the corner serving excellent food. The accommodation was well equipped and very comfortable. Already planning a return trip.

  • Such a lovely bungalow - with everything we needed. Light, airy and spacious with a very nice little garden for enjoying on those warm days. Some wonderful walks around the village (where everyone we met was just so friendly) and lots to see close to Winterton too. This was our third visit to Winterton - will certainly be back.

    — Mary Hammond, 18 Sep 2022
  • Just back from a fantastic last minute stay at Cobbles End. It’s a lovely light, airy bungalow, spacious, well laid out and beautifully decorated throughout. Even though it’s the middle of the village, it was so quiet and peaceful. Everything we needed for our stay was there and a nice touch with the welcome pack including treats for our dog. The garden was a highlight - secure and enclosed, flowers were just coming to their best and we are now hunting for that yellow rose variety as the scent was divine. The sun room overlooking the garden is a great space to just sit and chill. We enjoyed great food and drink at Fisherman’s, Poppy’s and the newly reopened Hermanus and experienced perfect hospitality at them all. We have stayed at a number of cottages in the village and have never had a bad one, but this is one we would definitely look to return to.

    — Karen, 17 Jun 2022
  • Regular visitors to Winterton. Loved the bungalow and dogs loved the garden, would recommend.

    — Jackie Burns, 15 Mar 2022
  • Great location in Winterton with shops, pub and beach all within walking distance. Very peaceful and quiet. Dog friendly and secure garden.

    — Jenny, 09 Mar 2022
  • A fabulous location and very restful home from home. Everything you need for a get away from it all break.

    — Alison Clare, 23 Jan 2022
  • We stayed at the cottage from 12th to 19th November 21. The cottage is located in a very quiet cul-de-sac, we didn't see another soul for the entire week of our stay! Comfortable and well equipped, we spent our days walking the dogs along the vast sandy beaches, seal watching, followed by pub lunches in the Fisherman's Return, just a stones throw from the cottage. We had a very chilled week. Would recommend.

    — Deborah Pittock , 28 Nov 2021
  • We stayed at Cobbles End from 6-10th September, our second time staying here (2018). The bungalow is lovely, so quiet, has everything we needed. Within easy walking distance of the beach and dunes, and the shops and pub. We were also very lucky to have such great weather. Look forward to staying again soon.

    — Elaine Mander, 12 Sep 2021
  • We stayed at cobbles End in winterton on sea....and I can only say what an absolute amazing place to stay. Immaculate ... comfortable. It's the first time in weeks I've slept so well !!! It's so peaceful and quiet as it's tucked away...yet within 5 minutes walk of the dunes/beach. The Fishermens Rest pub did not fail to please...the food amazing ( I have put half a stone on!) Every morning I took our dog on the extremely dog friendly beaches.then call for a lattee and crumpet at poppys tea room. All I can say is Cobbles End is somewhere I would definitely come back to in a blink of an eye. Infact ...I wish I lived there ( please ?!)

    — Dizzy, 24 Aug 2021
  • We stayed at Cobbles End from 2-9 July and while the weather could have been better Cobbles End did not disappoint. One of the best, if not the best, holiday homes that we’ve stayed in. Absolutely loved it- can we buy it please?? Lovely comfy settees, and beds and the shower was fab. Pretty dog friendly garden too. I particularly loved the garden room- my reading room while my hubby and daughter watched the tv! Everything was clean tidy and just perfect. Shame no welcome pack tho- the only disappointment as the tea bags were in our daughters car. Luckily the shop wasn’t too far. And good fish & chips! You must visit Poppy’s too for lunch/ afternoon tea. Perfect courtyard. We’ve booked for next year already! Thank you

  • Cobbles End is a clean and comfortable bungalow. A lovely quiet location. Neighbours are friendly. In fact everyone we met were friendly. A lovely close distance to a stunning beach. The local eateries were perfect. Could have easily stayed another week in Cobbles End. Xx

    — Amanda Hitchen, 20 Jun 2021
  • This is a delightful bungalow in which we feel right at home in straight away. It is situated near the end of a small cul-de-sac a short walk away from the fish and chip shop and Poppy's (the home of great Bread Pudding)! There is a good sized secure and enclosed garden for our Honey (a Cockapoo) to race around. There is enough room on the front for our sizable BMW X5 to be parked safely off the public highway and two smaller vehicles could be accommodated instead. With the surroundings of Winterton's facilities, dunes and sandy beaches there is no need to venture much further afield but, you are at the heart of the beautiful Norfolk countryside if you want to explore this wonderful county.

    — Sue and Ray Woods, 16 Jun 2021
  • Cobbles End is a modern bungalow with well thought out living space. We were very comfortable and warm. It is extremely well equipped. Winterton with shop, tea room, fish and chips and pub has everything you might need and the beach and dunes are spectacular

    — Judith Wood, 24 May 2021
  • We had an excellent holiday in Cobbles End. The cottage was clean and we had all the crockery, utensils, etc that we needed. Winterton is the perfect village for a seaside break and specially for dog owners. We will be back.

    — Maureen ermy, 16 May 2021
  • Thank you for a perfect weekend break, the bungalow was perfect for us and our Cockapoo. We felt at home straight away, it was warm, clean and comfortable a real home from home. The neighbours were lovely and friendly and it’s a great location for the dunes, beach and chip shop! We are regular visitors to Winterton and will definitely book a return to Cobbles End in the future.

  • Cobbles end was in a great position quiet but in the centre of the village. The bungalow was warm and comfy with a lovely large garden. The wood burner was great and the smart TV for evenings. Plenty of room for 4 adults with comfy beds and parking for two cars. A lovely stay.

    — Angela Toms, 28 Oct 2020
  • Cobbles End is a very comfortable, spacious ,clean and welcoming holiday bungalow in the lovely, quiet village .The beach and dunes are brilliant for walking and very dog friendly.Had a great holiday and would love to return.

    — Sheila Whitehouse, 25 Mar 2020
  • We have just come home from a week's holiday at Cobbles End. It was absolutely lovely. Home from home and so comfortable. Really felt relaxed and at home here. All of the bungalow is lovely but the garden room is great and the garden is a joy to look out at
One very minor thing - an extra small table in the garden room would be really useful to put books/cups on. I took the lamp off the table and moved it - I am just being lazy lol. Fell in love with Winterton and the beach, dunes, seals etc etc. We will definitely be back.

    — Jane Thomas, 17 Mar 2020
  • We've just returned home from another wonderful stay at Cobbles End. We were here last September and loved the bungalow so much we booked again. We've holidayed in Winterton over the years, staying in various properties, and this is the most comfortable place we've stayed in. We even mentioned a couple of little points last time (low shower pressure/gate latch not quite secure/no hairdrier) and every one of these items has been dealt with - and the shower pressure is fabulous now. Lovely to know that the owners really care that you enjoy your stay, which we most certainly did! We would highly recommend this property to anyone.

    — Claire & Frank, 01 Mar 2020
  • Just returned from Cobbles End. We were here last year and was pleasantly surprised at how well the property has been maintained. It was very clean and comfortable. It’s a spacious bungalow with plenty of enclosed garden space for the dogs. We will definitely be returning

  • Cobbles End is a fantastic bungalow to stay in. We have stayed there twice both times in November. Lovely and cosy with the wood burner going. Great WiFi which a lot of places in Winterton struggle with too. If like us you spend a lot of evenings relaxing in front of tv after a busy day, it’s a great tv and if you have Netflix you can watch that too. Kitchen is a lovely size with everything you could possibly need. Whole bungalow is decorated beautifully and a lovely back garden which you can enjoy from the sun room.

    — Carol Leech , 04 Dec 2019
  • We felt right at home, as soon as we began our stay at Cobbles End, it being well appointed and comfortable. Our X5 just about fitted on the front but you could get two, more modest vehicles there if needed instead. Being at the end of a cul-de-sac the position is very quiet. At the rear is a very well laid out garden which, providing the two iron gates are shut, provide a secure area for your dogs to freely run and play. At night the garden is very dark, should you wish to veiw the stary sky, (I wish I had brought my telescope)!

Can I say how good the tea room at Poppy's (adjoining the Post Office/ Newsagent) at which I highly recommend the Bread Pudding. (Which can also be bought on a takeaway basis!) Dogs are also very welcome in these tea rooms.

We will definitely be returning to Winterton and Cobbles End in the future.

    — Raymond Woods , 12 Oct 2019
  • This is a beautiful bungalow, very well appointed and comfy with everything you could need. It's in a very quiet cul-de-sac, with a lovely and secure garden (we have little dogs so I did check there were no escape holes!), and yet only a couple of minutes around the corner to the pub or a few more minutes on to the fabulous beach. The bungalow itself has a very comfy sofa and bed (we just used the double bedroom) and a large TV for the evenings. The kitchen has everything you could need and is very pretty. The chocolates and prosecco left for our arrival were a very nice touch and much appreciated! We love Winterton and have been here multiple times in lots of different places and this is probably the most comfortable bungalow we've been in - the shower pressure could be stronger, but in the grand scheme of things something I can definitely put up with! We would definitely return here and hope to do so again in the not too distant future.

    — Claire McPartlin, 16 Sep 2019
  • Stayed for a week at Cobbles End The bungalow was comfortable and well equipped. The garden is totally enclosed and therefore safe for dogs. Winterton is a pretty village with friendly people. Great dog walking on the beach and dunes which are only a short walk away.

    — Graham Boult, 21 May 2019
  • Cobbles End is a beautiful very comfortable and well presented Bungalow in a very peaceful residential location. The garden in particular was a bonus for our doggie and the local people so warm and welcoming. We enjoyed walking the lovely beach and the the Dunes , the Dunes Cafe is particularly good for breakfasts and snacks. The local Pub is within walking distance of the Bungalow as is the local Chippy and a great shop and Post Office. All of this and it is only a short drive to a number of other places to visit including Great Yarmouth, Wroxham and Potter Heigham. Will definitely be booking again.

    — Rose, Bob and Milly, 06 May 2019
  • Stayed here for a weekend break. Cottage is lovely, spacious, comfortable, large kitchen, well decorated and looked after. Garden is brilliant, fully enclosed for the dogs to run out in. Winterton is a lovely village, with a great dog friendly pub, definitely a must visit when you stay, and its only round the corner! We will hope to come back and stay again.
