Property Details

With a central village location, yet close to the beach, Cleveland House sleeps up to 10 people and is ideal for both families and large groups looking for a luxury holiday home with a hot tub. With a large lounge which has an impressive fireplace, a huge oak table which seats 10 in the dining room and a well equipped kitchen it's perfect for a relaxing holiday or short break away from it all.

The front door to Cleveland House leads into a hallway, with access to a downstairs bedroom to the left, the lounge on the right and through to the kitchen at the rear of the house. The house is very spacious and is perfect for relaxing with family or socialising with friends. Overlooking the front garden, the lounge is a large room with seating for 10 people, and an impressive fireplace with a wood burning stove. There is a TV with Freeview, DVD player, and radio/CD player, and plenty of board games and jigsaws.

Double doors connect the lounge to the conservatory, and can be opened up to make the space larger for entertaining or socialising. The huge oak table seats 10 people comfortably, and is perfect for family meals or special celebrations. We can recommend a caterer on request. There are two easy chairs for relaxing in the conservatory, and the glass doors at the rear and front open onto the garden.

For keen cooks the well equipped kitchen has a range cooker, with a large fridge and separate freezer in the adjoining utility room. A full size dishwasher in the utility room means nobody has to wash up! You'll also find a washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room. The kitchen also has a small table with four chairs – perfect for quick breakfasts or midnight snacks! Next to the utility room is the boot room with access from outside, and space for storing coats and boots. Beach equipment and outdoor games are also stored here. The downstairs bathroom is at the other end of the utility room and has a large shower, washbasin and toilet.

All of the bedrooms at Cleveland House are beautifully furnished with sumptuous fabrics, and they all have comfortable pocket spring mattresses. There are four bedrooms upstairs, three of which have ensuite facilities. The fifth bedroom is downstairs and there is also a downstairs shower room.

Bedroom one is the largest bedroom with a kingsize sleigh bed. The ensuite has a bath, washbasin and toilet. Bedroom two also has a kingsize bed, and an ensuite with a large shower, washbasin and toilet. Bedroom three (blue) and bedroom four (green) have twin single beds which can be 'zip and linked' together to convert them to superking doubles if required. The green bedroom has a small ensuite with a washbasin and toilet, and the blue bedroom is the only one without ensuite facilities. Downstairs, bedroom five has a kingsize bed and TV.

There is a travel cot (bedding not provided), high chair and two stairgates for the little ones. Outside, the large front garden is completely enclosed and safe for both children and pets. There is a small hot tub which is suitable for 4-6 people (no pets allowed in the hot tub). Garden furniture is provided, and there are some outdoor games stored in the boot room where you'll also find four beach chairs. Up to three dogs are welcome for a small charge of £15 per dog, and there is unlimited free wi-fi for guests. At the front of the house there is off-road parking for up to four cars, with additional free parking nearby in the village.

  • The house is very comfortable , very well equipped and beautifully done up to a very high standard. With two sitting rooms and a huge conservatory our family party appreciated the space in the house although we also spent a lot of time in the large private garden which even in April was a sun trap!! We loved the walks on the dunes and seeing the seal colony on the beach at Horsey. We plan to be back!! The Devine family

  • Great time in this beautiful house, so much room for us all. Pretty village and fantastic beach. Lots of good food; eating out and dining in (great dining table)! Amber our cocker spaniel had the best time of all - loved the sand dunes and was a great fielder in our game of cricket on the beach.

  • Surprise get together to celebrate 60th birthday - perfect choice! Fantastic spacious home, comfortable, clean, welcoming. Village is delightful - been looking to buy retirement home!! Beach and dunes - superb. Great walks and wonderful memories created by seeing the seals and pups. Weather couldn't have been better. Pub delightful - food portions enormous - skip starters and don't even look at the dessert menu! All in all a wonderful weekend, created lots of happy memories for all. Would love to return in the summer - thanks Rachel & Kieran for a wonderful stay.

  • Third year in a row and Cleveland House once again makes for a great family holiday. We always feel so at home here, so much so we always end up thinking about living in Winterton. Friends also came up and stayed up the road and the huge dining table easily catered for lots of big meals. We always hate having to leave, but we're sure we'll be back. Thanks again Rachel & Kieran for a wonderful stay.

  • What an amazing house. We have all had a fantastic Christmas, enjoyed walks to the beach. Izzy (black labrador) enjoyed the water. The village pub is very friendly – we visited it on many occasions. There is everything you need here at the house – so clean and comfortable.

  • We have spent a wonderful week here in your wonderful house. Four adults, one nana, six children aged three months to one year and one dog. We have all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We love the village, the beach, the dog walks, the pub and it’s super food (the dads enjoyed the ‘nog’!) and of course the house which is so clean, comfortable, relaxing and spacious …. Plenty of room to spread out, such a great and sociable layout. The children found the garden fantastic too …plenty of scooting track and swingball space ….great to keep them busy whilst we prepared yet more yummy food! Lots to do in the area also, lovely to be able to include our dog Max in our family holiday. We would love to come back. Thank you.
