Downstairs, the living room has comfortable sofas, a wood burning stove, and a TV tucked away in a wooden cabinet. A door leads through to the spacious kitchen diner, which is well equipped with a large electric cooker, hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The kitchen door opens out into the back garden where you'll find the shed which houses the washing machine. Beyond the kitchen there's a downstairs bedroom with a trundle bed, giving the choice of either a 2'6" single in that room, two 2'6" singles next to one another when the lower bed is pulled out. There's also a downstairs bathroom with a WC and washbasin.

Upstairs there are two spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom at the front of the cottage has a comfortable kingsize bed, and the second bedroom has twin 2'6" single beds which can be converted to a kingsize double bed on request. At the back of the cottage upstairs is the large modern bathroom with a bath, separate walk in shower, WC and washbasin.

Up to three dogs are welcome at Beachcomber - the back garden is fully enclosed and is part paved, part gravel. The cottage is equipped with wifi and off road parking for one car, with other free parking on the road outside.

  • I book a cottage for a week in December every year. We love to see the seals. Family and friends join over the week.
Beachcomber was ideal, a few steps from the dunes and beach, lovely cottage.

  • We’ve stayed in Winterton 7 times, first time at Beachcomber. The house is in an ideal position in the village & perfect for a short or long stay. Everything we could have needed was supplied and we will look to book again if available.

  • Our first visit to Winterton and Beachcomber didn’t disappoint. It is in a fabulous location, just a few minutes walk to the dunes and walkable to all amenities in Winterton. The cottage is spacious, comfortable and very well-equipped. The cottage is truly dog-friendly with throws for the furniture, dog bowls and other equipment and even a crate do you don’t have to take your own. Our two dogs loved their holiday at Beachcomber, as did we and we can highly recommend it.

  • We have visited Winterton On Sea several times and are never disappointed. The Beachcomber is a lovely cottage and is so dog friendly! It is decorated tastefully through out and has everything you could need. The beds are very comfortable and the shower was great after a run over the dunes. The welcome basket was greatly appreciated on our arrival too😊
    We will be back 🥰🥰

  • We have just returned from a stay at Beachcomber. The cottage was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, incredibly dog friendly and in the perfect location. We honestly couldn’t have asked for anything else. The log burner was great and very cosy in the evenings following whole days spent on the dunes. Loved the fact we could walk in less than a minute to the shop, the chip shop, the pub and the tea rooms and also those amazing dunes and beach. Returning to this beautiful place each day was perfect and we can not wait to be back. Thank you.

  • A lovely fresh house close to the dunes and in a lovely village. Massive kitchen and very dog friendly.

  • My wife and I stayed at this delightful cottage for 4 days with our dogs. It was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. We had a really relaxing visit and will definitely be back. Thank you Rachel.

  • Beachcomber was a cosy cottage with a very short walk to the dunes and the beach. It had a large fully equipped kitchen diner and the lounge had a wood burner. Upstairs the bathroom is large with a fab shower and the bed was comfy! Small paved and pebbled sunny garden with table and chairs. Small shop round the corner and easy walk to very dog friendly pub. The weather was amazing for the end of September and lots to see and do round about.

  • A perfect 4 night stay at Beachcomber, a very comfortable & clean house. The welcome pack was a very nice surprise, so thank you Rachel. The location within the village could not have been better with everything on your doorstep, general store, post office / lovely cafe (Poppy’s), chip shop, dunes & beach, we were extremely happy and will definitely be staying again. I have to mention the very good shower, as the water pressure was extremely good. Thank you Beachcomber.

  • Beachcomber is a lovely deceptively spacious mid terrace cottage in a quiet street. It’s really welcoming & was a perfect fit for grandparents & young parents with baby. The family kitchen is ideal for lengthy catchups- beds are comfy, the fridge freezer is generously sized & everything is very thought through . We loved the short walk to the beach & seals, plus loads of outings & hope to book next year

  • Me and my family have just come back from a 3 night stay at Beachcomber and we couldn't have been happier with the accommodation. Perfect little cottage for my wife and I and 3 children. Perfect location and spotlessly clean on arrival, it was the best beach get away and would definately stay again next time we are in the beautiful village of Winterton. Thanks to Rachel for arranging everything for us and being on hand to answer any questions we had.

  • We had a great few nights stay at Beachcomber. Plenty of space for our family of 5 to relax in the comfortable and well appointed house - everything we needed and only a 5 minute walk to the beach. Enjoyed tasty breakfasts at the nearby Dunes cafe and was great to be able to walk to the local pub for supper. Would love to return.

  • Just home after a week at the lovely Beachcomber cottage. Clean, warm and cosy and in a great position being about a minute from the dunes and the lovely Poppy Tea Rooms and two minutes from the village pub. If you are looking for a relaxed getaway I would highly recommend both Winterton and Beachcomber.

  • We have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Beachcomber with our 2 dogs and this is an exceptional place to stay on all counts! The cottage is of such a high quality, incredibly clean and they have thought of everything that you would ever need to enjoy your stay, even a lovely hamper of delicious things including doggie treats, that was such a lovely surprise!! The house is so cosy with a log burner in the living room, the kitchen/dining room is very spacious we were very envious of the space!! The beds were very comfy and the shower was exceptional with also the addition of a bath!....all the bed linen & towels were provided and again lovely & clean and good quality. Not only is the Beachcomber very impressive but the location is ideally situated.....through the back gate going one way you are onto the dunes within a minute (ideal if you have dogs!!)..going the other way you have all the local amenities on the beach road and of course the beach. A big thank you to the owners (who were on hand if you needed anything) for making our holiday in Winterton on Sea our best yet!!.....If I could have kept the Beachcomber a secret I would have done but not to be selfish I had to leave a review as it is so well deserved!!....& oh yes we will be back x

  • We have just had a wonderful stay at Beachcomber. A sparkling clean and beautifully presented cottage just moments from the sea where we saw 9 beautiful seals at the waters edge on our walk. Stunning scenery, a lovely village with a well equipped shop open til late, a very nice pub with roaring fire, excellent food and very friendly bar staff. There is also a fish and chip shop, post office and church in the village.
We came home after our jam packed days out (lots of walks, national trust houses nearby) to a very effective wood burning stove, games of scrabble and a good nights sleep.
There was an easy heating system, plenty of hot water and a washing machine for an easy family stay. We enjoyed cooking in the clean, well equipped kitchen and eating round the large table. Rachel left us a basket with bread, cake, milk, marmalade and juice which was a lovely warm gesture. She has also compiled a detailed manual of things to do, places to visit and emergency information which was very useful.
We would absolutely return to Beachcomber and highly recommend it. Thank you Rachel for a lovely stay.

  • We have just spent a week in this lovely cottage. It’s size is very deceiving and much larger than it looks on the outside. It has the advantage of a downstairs bedroom and toilet which suited our party of people. The kitchen is nice and modern and very spacious, very well equipped. A welcome hamper was also greatly appreciated especially the doggy biscuits! Ideal location right on the dunes and on a very quiet road. Great access via the garden gate out towards the dunes, enabling us to keep our boots in the out house in the garden, keeping the house free of sand and mud! Off road parking is also a bonus to this property. Lots of logs for the log burner in the cosy lounge, along with very efficient heating and hot water. We loved staying here and will be coming back! Thank you.

  • Great location being just 200 yards from the dunes. Very clean and spacious. Nice welcome basket. Lots of logs for the fire. For us, we found the two sofas very soft and lacked back support (personal opinion) and this would be the only reason we would look for another cottage in Winterton. Winterton was a great coastal village with lots of walking options from the doorstep. Our Golden Retriever loved the wide expanse of sand dunes. Lots of seals all along the coast.

  • We have just stayed at Beachcomber with our two dogs as part of a walking holiday and had a thoroughly enjoyable trip. The cottage was surprisingly spacious and the open plan kitchen/diner and enclosed garden ideal for us and our two dogs. We had the heating on a couple of times and it was very efficient. Very easy access for parking/loading/unloading and supremely quiet nights in a comfortable bed. Excellent dog walking with doggy heaven beaches and Marram grass areas almost on the doorstep. Thanks for the lovely welcome pack too. Lorna, Kevin, Bess and Benji

  • We have just had a wonderful week's stay at Beachcomber cottage in Winterton with our grandchildren. The cottage was perfect for us and we will be visiting again that's for sure!

    — Anne Johnson, 31 Mar 2019
  • Fantastic cottage, very well equipped and warm. Would certainly book to stay here again.

    — Barbara Vernon, 24 Mar 2019
  • Loved our stay at Beachcomber which is in our favourite part of the village being so close to the dunes, the centre of the village with the fantastic fish and chip shop, Post office, village store and local pub all within a couple of minutes walk. The cottage has been renovated to a very good standard and is very comfortable with everything you could want. Having an upstairs bathroom was important to us and the shower was fantastic! Comfortable beds, sofas and the added bonus of a wood burner for those chilly evenings; although the heating was also very good. We would not hesitate to book here for our next visit which hopefully will be soon as Winterton is our favourite place to stay in Norfolk for the escapism yet convenience of having everything you can need nearby.

  • We have just returned home from a fantastic stay at the Beachcomber. We were absolutely delighted with this beautiful, home from home accomodation that has everything you need for a wonderful holiday. It is spotlessly clean, has got excellent decor and you can even hear the sea from the second bedroom! Very relaxing. I really didn’t want to share this information with anyone and keep it to myself but thought that was mean. Many thanks Rachel for this fantastic find!

    — Annette Ledger, 01 Sep 2018
  • Had a wonderful time at Beachcomber cottage. The cottage is beautiful and had everything we needed. It was very hot during our stay but the cottage was pleasantly cool during the day and cosy at night. The sand dunes are about a minutes walk away at the end of the lane which then leads onto the glorious sandy beach that goes on for miles. We came at the start of the summer hols and the beach was not busy at all. Everyone is really friendly in the village and the fish and chips from the local fish and chip shop are yummy! We definitely want to come back next year! Thanks Rachel for a lovely time at Beachcomber.

  • We certainly hit the jackpot with the weather during our stay. Wonderful escape: enjoyed walks on the beach watching the terns. Very enjoyable trip to Cley marshes. We recommend Ross and his wildlife boat trip on Horsey Broad. Thanks for a comfortable cottage and a relaxing stay.

    — Michele Bullen, 14 May 2018
  • We stayed at Beachcomber the Easter weekend. The house was amazing and suited our family perfectly as it had 3 separate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It was very spacious downstairs and had been decorated to a high standard. The location was also perfect as it was very close to the dunes. We would definitely stay again and would recommend it whole heartedly.

    — Debbie Rossington, 10 Apr 2018
  • Just spent a lovely few days at Beachcomber. What a bright spacious cottage - plenty big enough for 6 and our dogs. So close to the beach and lovely walks. We'll definitely be coming back!
